Then his girls might have to go to school with “regular” kids.

Trying to out-family Sarah, I see.

Talk about a copy cat. Bambi hasn't had an original thought in his life.

What an empty suit!

That is as much as my college (and I go private, though we are one of the cheapest private colleges I know of).

They aren’t crass enough to tell you how much it costs, but there is evidently a stiff fee. Here’s what their website says about financing. Maybe Obama gets a special deal since he’s so poor, and his children are minorities:

Choosing an independent school involves making a significant personal and financial commitment. We believe that the Laboratory Schools offer an educational experience well worth the expense. An educationally advantageous student/teacher ratio, exceptional resources at the Schools and at the University of Chicago, and a dedication to each student’s success are only a few reasons to choose Lab.

In order to guide you as you think about the investment involved in your child’s education, we have provided information about Lab’s tuition and fees and the financial aid we have available. We can work with you when the time comes to discuss scholarships and payment plans in order to make Lab a possibility for your family. If you have any immediate questions, contact the Admissions Office. We will be happy to hear from you.

Guess who’s paying for those five SUV’s!

These kids should be home schooled. Save the taxpapers a ton of money.

Lets see.. 5 SUVs to drop off her girls? Why does it take 5 FRICKING SUVs to drop your kids off at a PRIVATE (Obama, don't you like the Chicago Public School, you Hypocritical Elitist?) School.

I don't need 5 SUVs to get me to my school...which is my KITCHEN TABLE!! (Or if my friend's mom is teaching me, I take my boat!)

The school is located on the Univ. of Chicago campus. I wouldn’t be surprised if most parents of children there had armed guards drop their kids off. The U. of Chicago is a chain-linked fenced island of life in the south side of Chicago.

I was a scholarship student at a Chicago prep school that competed with the Lab School. Most of us thought the Lab School students were weird, and we were none too normal ourselves. (This was back in the 60’s).

The students were known as being very very high strung and very academically competitive. Both the Lab School and the U of C have been long known as places “where fun goes to die”.

He’s a candidate and his family is provided protection because of that.

And is’nt he doing what is best for his kids? I know I would’nt want my children in a Chicago public school.

Sad. My daughter was offered admission to UofC grad school, and academically I don’t think there’s a better school in the US; however, I was delighted she declined so she’s not on the campus there. I’d be worried every day.

And while Palim may send her kids to public school in Alaska, you can be sure she won’t if they move to DC.

It all depends on where you live.....

I was wondering. Does a Vice President have to live in Washington DC?

Michelle Obama is on the board of directors of the lab school, and so is Penny Pritzker, heiress and supporter of Obama.
