A gunman who broke into a Fayetteville home Friday night was shot and killed by another man who was inside the home at the time, police said.
The gunman and an accomplice forced their way into the house in the 6400 block of Winter Park Drive about 10:50 p.m., said police Sgt. Sam Oates.
An occupant of the home grabbed a small-caliber handgun he kept in the house and fired two shots at the pair as they hastily retreated.
Police found the dead assailant lying in the driveway of a nearby home. A gun was still in his hand, Oates said.
Police hadnt identified the participants as of 2:30 p.m. Saturday, and no other details were available.
Awesome. I love happy endings.
Nice to see the good guys come out on top!
Always have one available for him/her to have had.
Ping.
Clyde, Anybody you know?
Wow, maybe he coulda got both of ‘em with a shotgun!
Well, those two won’t come back! One for dead sure won’t.
Knives work well also. ;)
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒE
Bingo!
Knives work well also. ;)
Funny stuff, but not a good idea. The truth will out and a justified shooting becomes an ugly thing in the hands of a prosecuter.
The best recipe for crime reduction... FEAR of the VICTIM by the CRIMINAL.
A “happy ending” just like those ice cream Sundaes one gets at Friendly’s
Lessee, could the “man who was inside the home” and the “occupant” possibly be the HOMEOWNER??? Man, reporting these days is about on the 3rd grade level if that.
sniff! Me too
Right you are, the S.S.S. method is much better.
Now, THAT’s called “Gun Control!”
Doubt it. Two inch pattern at 12 feet.
Absolutely right. One of the worst mistakes you can make after a justified shooting incident is trying to rig the scene to make it appear to be something it wasn't. Modern forensic science makes it virtually impossible to alter evidence in a way to make it falsely appear more favorable to one party or the other.
Once you're caught in a lie or rigging a scene, the investigating authorities will assume that you're trying to hide something that doesn't match your account of the incident, and from that point on you are a crime suspect no matter how innocent you may actually be.
I'm not a cop and I don't play one on TV, but several people in my family are or were LEOs of one variety or another and they tell me the same things that I'm saying here.
Thank you for the ping. I have cousins that live in
Fayetteville, N.C. because of the illegal population there they are moving!
