[The accent] seemed to have become more pronounced after Sarah Palin stormed onto the scene. That's what I thought, too. It could be that this is his answer to the charges that he is elitist, that is, coming from a privileged international background shared by few whites and virtually no blacks, so he's trying to make himself look a little more "authentic." Lotsa luck. If you're not authentic, you'll never be able to make yourself look authentic. He just makes himself look stranger and creepier every day.

Obama paused before he said it:
...John McCain has not, uhhhh, talked about my Muslim faith.
He thought about what he was saying. Then he said it. It's not our fault for pointing this out.

I agree with your analysis, but really: Nitally Lions, I’m President, My Muslim faith. All in one week? his guy is either a gaffe machine or feeling seriously hunted.

Barack Hussein Obama II is his Muslim name from birth Zatso?
Let's see his real birth certificate before we say that.
We know he changed his name from Barry Soetoro some time after his mommy divorced Lolo and dumped him on the Dunhams.
Why did he SELECT a muslim name, hmmm?

Sorry to those who defend him. George Stephie corrected him and then he made the ‘clarification’. Sounds like a Freudian slip to me no matter how you try to gloss over it.
To: MaxMax
Bingo! We need to get him in non tele-prompted situations as much as possible. Whatever happened to those debates that McCain challenged him to? We should be bringing that back up in every press interview.

He was never baptized. The religion editors at Chicago newspapers have been rebuffed on their baptism inquires Didn't Obama have to just accept himself as his Lord and savior?

BUT then we trys to explain away his statement afterward, he says he was only responding to the fact...THAT HE WAS ATTACKED FOR BEING A MUSLIM and it sounded like he was referring to McCain If I were ever attacked for being a muslim, I would profess my Christian faith with examples - and I'll bet John McCain, Sarah Palin, George Bush would also. So would every other practicing Christian. Why hasn't Obama done this?
Kind of hard to do when you can't figure out when human life begins I guess.

I wouldnt put on the tinfoil hat on just yet. This from the YouTube community help forum: Often when a newly uploaded video is very popular and getting hundreds of hits in the first hour or less the counter stops, but the counts are still being done and the system will catch up in a few hours or so.
I dont know if thats entirely true but I have heard before that YouTube doesnt refresh the view counts in real time like FR does.
Folks have complained about YouTube taking vids down for alleged censorship reasons but its usually because of the copyright holder making a fair use claim and asking YouTube to take it down.

You’re not saying that every slip of the tongue is Freudian, are you?
I understand why some are exercised about this, but I still say it is not an admission, or even a Freudian slip. It’s just a slip. He was trying to say that McCain has never said he, Obama, has any Muslim connections.
Rumors that BHO has Muslim connections was the basis for the actual question GS asked, the question he was responding to.
This thing is silly, and it makes us look like rumor mongers. That’s my opinion.
