Obama considered joining military, regrets abortion answer By: Mike Allen September 7, 2008 09:11 AM EST
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) says his answer about abortion at the Saddleback Church forum was probably too flip.
During separate televised interviews last month, Pastor Rick Warren asked the two presidential candidates when a baby gets human rights. Obama replied that the question is above my pay grade, while Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won love from the right by saying quickly, At the moment of conception.
Now, Obama tells ABCs George Stephanopoulos in an interview taped for This Week: What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into
It's a pretty tough question. And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.

An empty suit.
Obama - the gift that keeps on giving.
I’m an atheist and the “When does Life begin?” question is pretty damn easy for me to answer: at conception.
I’d have to think harder about which flavor of cake I love the most.
Look the other way her folks, nothing to see. I was for patriotism before I was against it. I thought about being an upright individual once... I’m sorry I answered the way I did, also saying that I’m so self-centered that it gets in the way of helping others. I guess I uh, just need to get out of my own way, uh and let the light shine through me. I’m going to go to my “happy place” now. Thanks ya, all. Obambi
“I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into...”
Who cares about “when the soul enters the body”?
Since when is the United States a theocracy?
How about this question, “when the ‘product of conception’ is a member of the human species”?
We know when that happens - at conception.
It’s not a religious question, it’s a human rights question. Governments are established first and foremost to protect the rights of human beings. Unborn babies, from the moment of conception, are members of the species homo sapiens, are human beings.
If human rights are intrinsic, are inalienable, then they attach to human existence.
The pro-deathers should stop trying to make it a theological question to which they can throw up their arms in mock frustration, unable to answer the theological question.
Lying filth.
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
Obama: I am really like John McCain. Really!
When does life begin in Obama’s view?
Apparently not even at the moment of live birth.
Don’t hold back, sitetest. You’re among FRiends.
Your new clarifications aren't operative.
How'd you like to be a drill sergeant with the opportunity to get into THAT guy's grill?
Obama in the military? We don’t have jobs for that low of an IQ.
More important, THIS response is obscenely dishonest:
“I think the better answer and this was reflected in the Democratic platform is to figure out, how do we make sure the young mothers, or women who have a pregnancy that’s unexpected or difficult, have the kind of support they need to make a whole range of choices, including adoption and keeping the child.”
A more accurate summary of the Democrat Platform is:
“If some weirdo wants to give birth, well, uh, Hey! I guess we need a few of those too, so we, like, don’t all die out. But we need to ensure government-funded abortions are readily available for thinking women who want to get on with their lives, and who don’t want to be punished with a child for a night of fun with someone.”
How long does it take Obama to make up his mind about his position on an issue? Right after the poll results come in? Remind anyone of another President?
Is he actually trying say that if WE WERE at war he WOULD have joined? This man is delusional. Plain and simple.
Sorry Barry you don’t get a second shot at the answer, serious this guy is just one big flipper flopper, he’s worse than Kerry ever was.
Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn would not have approved.
