“I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into...”
Who cares about “when the soul enters the body”?
Since when is the United States a theocracy?
How about this question, “when the ‘product of conception’ is a member of the human species”?
We know when that happens - at conception.
It’s not a religious question, it’s a human rights question. Governments are established first and foremost to protect the rights of human beings. Unborn babies, from the moment of conception, are members of the species homo sapiens, are human beings.
If human rights are intrinsic, are inalienable, then they attach to human existence.
The pro-deathers should stop trying to make it a theological question to which they can throw up their arms in mock frustration, unable to answer the theological question.
Lying filth.
Don’t hold back, sitetest. You’re among FRiends.
I agree. We could be a purely atheistic nation, and the regard for the sanctity of human life would still be an absolute necessity, just as the regard for private property would be. These things are absolutely essential to the survival of any society.
I agree. Knowing that human life begins at conception is a scientific fact. Religion has nothing to do with that.
“The pro-deathers should stop trying to make it a theological question to which they can throw up their arms in mock frustration, unable to answer the theological question.”
and in doing so it is the equivalent as saying to a hunter “go ahead - shoot at the rustling bush before you positively identify what it is”
This argument of theirs is basically saying “we don’t know! so let’s assume it’s not a person and kill it anyway..”
Perfect explanation. Thank you.
