Palin was changing baby just before speech
NBC 4 Sunday New York ^ | 9/7/08 | Me

Gossip twit Cindy Adams was just giving her report on the Dem and Repub conventions on local New York TV. Of course her main concern was which celebrities were there, but she did say that, far from being nervous prior to her big speech, Sarah Palin was backstage diapering Trig just before she walked on stage. Quote Cindy: "She's cool as ice."

Remember, the voters want "change" -- and for much the same reason.

Cheers!

Be fun to see how they would do the glasses.

LOL! Incidentally, I was at Mount Rushmore just last week. It's amazing how Borglum sculpted TR's glasses. There is just a hint of them in the actual carving, but from below, they are very visible.

Dude that’s one of my favorite songs.

From the Bio on Fox I picked up a significant leadership trait about Sarah Palin, one that Barrack Obama severely lacks, she has the ability to redirect her efforts in an instant, going from mother to governor with the flick of some sort of internal switch. It’s why she is as cool as ice and he isn’t.

That’s not all the crap she had to dispose of that night.

I love this lady (and it’s so nice to say she is a lady).

Some clueless comment on a column asked if Palin would be changing diapers when the hypothetical “3AM call” comes.

I replied that she was changing one just before she came out to give her speech,

and then changed the political landscape.

And no doubt many of the libs who were heard her needed a change themselves!

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing (the then Sun columnist) Simon on Baltimore TV once. He was obviously the kid everyone else beat-up on in schools - even the other geeky kids. He was also amazingly clueless.

I'm glad you liked it -- Crowded House / Split Enz would be one of the few New Zealand groups to make it over in the US. Dunno why -- there's lots and lots of great bands DownUnder.

See if you like these guys -- they are also from just down the road from me. Fantastic live band: extremely versatile, something for every taste. This is one of my favorite tunes.

I think it's a trait more common in women than in men: my wife can do a similar context-switch, and when she does she leaves me gasping for air. It drives me nuts!

As Kipling said "The female of the species is more deadly than the male."

That is why Sarah Palin is twice the man as Barack Obama will ever be: it's the way Nature intended it.

We were at Mt. Rushmore just last week and talked about how Obama would insist adding himself, somehow, to the mountain if he became the first black President. I believe he is that egotistical.

"Think your mom will mind if I steal her quote?"

Not at all. I think that she would be thrilled.

Thanks DieHard...I remember this song. I think it was quite popular over here in the USA when it came out.

I really liked it then and; thanks to you, I have “rediscovered it”. Kudos to you and to the wonderful folks in NZ.
