The National Enquirer is reporting Gov. Sarah Palin had an extramarital affair. The story doesn't mention when the alleged affair happened.
My sources in Alaska say the incident occurred in mid 1990s, right around the time she became mayor of Wasilla. Todd Palin's partner in a Polaris snowmachine dealership in Wasilla, Brad Hanson Hampton, and Sarah were reportedly flirtatious and but never consummated the relationship.
When Todd found out, he reportedly dissolved the partnership and sold the dealership. Hampton is now a member of the Palmer City Council. He was married at the time of the reported flirtation.
Here's the response from the McCain people:
“The smearing of the Palin family must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Governor Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie. Governor Palin is the most popular governor in the country. She is a proven leader, an accomplished executive, a champion for ethics reform, and a fighter against corruption. The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it.
“Senator McCain and Governor Palin look forward to discussing the issues that Americans care about, fixing broken government, creating jobs, making our country energy independent and securing the peace for the next generation by bringing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to a victorious end. Legal action will be considered with regard to this disgraceful smear.” – McCain senior adviser Steve Schmidt.
There's a lot of criticism about the way the media is treating Sarah Palin. A national story on an almost-affair does raise questions about how much of Palin's personal life should be dragged out for public scrutiny. It certainly must be an uncomfortable time for the Palin family.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed that Obama’s feminine features are getting more lady like? I know this has nothing to do with Sarah’s alleged non affair that wasn’t consummated, but he (Obama) looks like he would be more comfortable in a dress.

Of all the photos of Bubba I see this is the one that irritates me the most. He is so smug and cocky in that photo and it just makes me sick that he was once this great country’s President.

In a perfect world, I agree with you.
In the world of the liberal slime that is looking for any flimsy thread of a rumor that they can spread about a decent woman, I do not agree with you. Look, she is the Governor of Alaska and has probably had meetings, lunches, dinners, etc. without the knowledge of or attendance of her husband. If the press questions her husband about a specific time and place Sara met with another man, the media will say that it was a “secret assignation held without her husband KNOWING about it!!!”
That makes it even better. The “scandal” mongers are going to claim she had affairs with every male she met in her lifetime. It worked so well when the so-called VRWC tried it with Slick Willie. Willie’s approval ratings went to 67% LOL!
I bet an awful lot of wives would disagree on that.
A snow machine dealership in Wasilla with a population of 5,000 people is not going to be lucrative enough for two men to make a living. If it folded, it had nothing to do with flirting, it was economics.
That was thirteen years ago. Now it’s 2008 and “The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show” is still canceled.
