In a radio interview earlier this week, U.S. congressman Ron Paul said it may become necessary for citizens to resort to physical opposition if the government continues to erode civil liberties and commit international acts of aggression.
Asked by radio show host Alex Jones if he believed in the use of violence or other physical action to oppose an unjust government, Paul, a one-time presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party and a contender for the Republican presidential nomination until he dropped out of the race earlier this year, answered in the affirmative.
"Well, there's always that possibility that, that time will come." he said. "I believe in that."

Sure. Right. Whatever.
Wonderful, two nutcases in the same room talking nonsense.
Such an idiotic question and response.
Almost anyone will agree there is a point at which physical, even violent, resistance to the government is morally justified.
The question is where that point is. People disagree considerably on that.
“Sedition is a term of law which refers to covert conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority as tending toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws. Seditious words in writing are seditious libel.”
Well, isn’t that the primary purpose the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment? So what’s so shocking? That it emanated from the mouth of Ron Paul?
Hold on, fellas. Remember Jefferson and the tree of liberty? Remember the right to revolution? Remember why we have a Second Ammendment? Remember “Red Dawn”?
All Paul said was what our history books teach us. Someday, eventually, we may have to take up arms.
The fact that Ron Paul keeps appearing with the ‘truther in chief’ should tell you something.
It happened before and it darn well could happen again.
“Well, isnt that the primary purpose the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment? So whats so shocking? That it emanated from the mouth of Ron Paul?”
Ron Paul spoke the obvious truth.
Seems he has forgotten about the fact that we still have elections.
In fact, isn’t he running this year?
Who is determined when this is right or wrong and when it should be used? If 1% delusional people suddenly have paranoid fantasies that Wal Marts are internment camps and there are cameras in their homes, do they have the right to attempt to overthrow or is that sedition?
Cool, now we have another “community organizer” involved. When a congressman uses the tactics of Sharpton or Farrakhan, threatening sedition, it’s time to start looking at options for removal from office.
Sedition is should not be a crime unless it presents a clear and present danger to the civic peace.
That Ron Paul is advocating Treason! I so Charge You!
Honestly, I think it’s time to lock this anarchist up. He’s no longer fit for office.
