This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage — with dramatic effect, no doubt — and tell the story.
“What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags,” a Republican official emailed. “We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag.”
I’m not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with unused hand-flags, frankly. But the Republicans are obviously questioning someone’s patriotism here

In the Global War on Terror, they’ve missed their secret weapons. ‘Specially the way they treat their wimmen. Shock and Awe would have taken on a whole new context.
Moved? Ughhhhhhh! I’ve been doing a 30 years of marriage purge. WHERE did all this stuff come from?! Re-arranging the almost empty nest. Breaks my heart, I tell ya. So I’m keeping grands in mind as I go : )

I have a 4 yr old granddaughter here. It's been a week. I have toys and story books.......somewhere. LOL I find it all after they pick her up tomorrow.
Those that are could be laundered and/or disposed of properly by the American Legion. I'm sure there are plenty that are just fine. Though if I were to get a flag, I'd want one that had been 'cleansed' by display at a Palin rally first.
Of course it will turn up after she leaves!
You know, it’s not really that democrats don’t love America, because I’m sure a lot of them do. Rather, it’s that so many of them are too stupid and/or ignorant to understand what’s going on with their party.
Well, they can dream but that’s about it. Takers...never doers...that’s them in a nutshell.
