To counter Palin, Obama to dispatch female surrogates
ST. PAUL: Senator Barack Obama will increasingly lean on prominent Democratic women to undercut Governor Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain, dispatching Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to Florida on Monday and creating a rapid-response team to deploy female surrogates to battleground states, Obama advisers said on Thursday.
Clinton's campaign event in Florida, her first for Obama since the Democratic convention last month, will include a forceful response to the searing attacks and fresh burst of energy that Palin injected into the race with her convention speech on Wednesday night, Obama aides said.
With the McCain-Palin team courting undecided female voters, including some who backed Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Obama aides say they are counting on not only Clinton but also Democratic female governors to criticize their Alaskan counterpart, Palin — and, by extension, McCain — including Janet Napolitano of Arizona and Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas.
Still, within the Obama campaign and among Democratic officials nationwide, talks are well under way about how the party should treat Palin in the final two months of the campaign — and what Obama and his running mate, Senator Joseph Biden Jr. of Delaware, need to do to regain the offensive after the Republican convention. Some Democrats were urging Obama's campaign not to underestimate the potential power of Palin's electrifying speech to the Republican convention on Wednesday night even among voters not aligned with either party: On liberal talk-radio shows and on left-leaning blogs on Thursday, some Democrats fretted that the Obama campaign should fight back hard to avoid being caricatured as Senator John Kerry was four years ago. And some party strategists warned that Palin's personal narrative, as a "hockey mom" with a special-needs child, would appeal to some undecided women voters.

I don’t know how this will play out, Sarah is pretty, some women do not like the idea that pretty women move up, and unpretty ones do not.
Then again, Hillary is old news, if women want to see a woman win, and move the ball down the field, then Sarah is the right choice.

Biden and obama can’t fight like men. We know Sarah can and they are trembling in their slipper socks. Also, when they lose, they will be able to blame it on the women they sent and claim it wasn’t their fault. They are no better than the muzzies who hide behind their women in war zones—oh wait....

I saw the report on CNN where the trooper said a tabloid had offered $30,000 to him for his story. He declined. He also said Obama had dispatched his people to try to get him to come out and support Obama. It is going to get uglier and uglier. I hope the Palin family can hold up under the strain.
No it's not. But I, for one, would be offended that Palin's peer -- Biden -- can't do his own talking.
