Dahlia, the author of the above spiel, is only 37 years old, yet she is lecturing Senator Joe Biden who has been in the *Senate* for about that long!

Talk about hutzpah!

Which is to say, Dahlia knows that her side is losing, and losing badly...else she wouldn't feel so compelled to out-parent the equivalent of her dad.

Sarah doesn’t debate Democrats, she disembowels them.

Which turns out to be easy, as she finds nothing where their guts should be located.

OH, boy, Joe is a big cheese on Facebook!!!! :^)

Did she actually write that??

How about “Joe you are a pompous gasbag who had damned well better learn to not to blather on carelessly as you usually do. Study Sarah Palin’s speech and try to learn to talk like her!” :^)

Last week, Palin proved herself a charming, confident, and gifted reader of speeches.

I don't think Dahlia gets it. Never, ever believe your own propaganda. You can spout it, use it to "frame" an opponent, twist it, and pretend that you believe it but if you really do you'll go into the debate underestimating Sarah Palin. Sending a lump like Joe Biden in disarmed that way is sheer cruelty.

But go ahead, please do. Frame this as "debating a girl." Dismiss Palin as a neophyte about to be schooled by a master. And watch what happens.

I DON’T KNOW HOW TO BOLD MY CHANGES...BUT HERE GOES...

Dear Sen. McCain:

You have a problem. In less than a month, you will face off against Illinois Senator Barack Obama in a presidential debate in _______, and were you anyone but John McCain, it would likely be a rout. Last month, Obama proved himself a charming, confident, and gifted reader of speeches. But that doesn’t change the fact that two years ago he was a community organizer, crusading against dirty books at the local library. You are a six-term senator. World leaders routinely friend you, unbidden, on Facebook (”Wait … Is this the Angela Merkel?”). World leaders had never heard of Senator Obama until last month.

That’s your problem, John. Everyone expects you to win the debate, and to trounce him on the substance. But the rules for debating Sen. Obama are different. If you lecture him, you’ll be seen as a racist bully. If you act too smart, you’ll be seen as a racist bully. If you condescend to him, you’ll be seen as a racist bully. So this longtime parliamentary debater (and longer-time woman) is going to humbly offer you a few tips on how to debate a black man.

Sen. McCain, let’s be clear. Great Supreme Court oral advocates will tell you that a flawless oral argument will never win a case, but a bad argument can lose one. You have a similar problem. If you engage, fight, bicker, or bluster, you can lose this debate. Think Rick Lazio. So my advice, in a nutshell: Don’t lose it.

Your real problem with Obama is not actually going to be his race. Assuming you don’t call him boy or ask him to fetch you a coffee, you probably won’t do anything truly career wrecking on the racism front. Your real problem is that Obama is not a serious candidate. I don’t mean to suggest that he is not a serious person or even a seriously impressive first-term senator with real potential to shake up national politics. Nor do I want to imply for an instant that Obama is not a serious competitor. I just want to state here what you will be unable to say out loud at the debate: That by every obvious metric—experience, knowledge base, decades of public service, policy experience, understanding of the world—Obama is an unserious candidate for the presidency of the United States. And as any college debater will tell you, it’s far harder to beat a clumsy opponent than a good one. (That’s why you do better in your judiciary committee hearings with John Roberts than with Alberto Gonzales.) But if you even hint that Barack Obama may be opining on the Israel-Palestinian peace process with something Michelle pulled off Wikipedia that morning, you will look like a snotty professor lecturing an undergrad. And if you look like a snotty professor, you will come across as a racist bully.

Take a page from Campbell Brown's book and ask politely (and like you really want to know the answer and not just hear yourself say the question) what she learned while leading the Alaska National Guard into that war against Saskatchewan.

This has got to be the dumbest advice I've ever heard.

Asking Gov. Palin such a stupid question, especially since Senator Biden has never led any military organization into any war, or into anything else, would open him up to an infinite number of crushing comebacks from the Governor.

Leftists are such dopes. But they think they are so much smarter than anyone else.

This author is a debater?

Please, spare me.

Ahem, that doesn’t change the fact that she handed the Republican choice for Governor his head on a platter and defeated a former Governor running as the Dem. These people keep under estimating her and they’re gonna get a big surprise.

Dahlia, dahling. That's SO politically incorrect. You don't debate a "girl." You debate a woman. Or, if you like, a grrl. But "girl" is so, well, SEXIST.

Therein lies the problem - for Old Joe. He can’t be anyone else BUT the a$$hole he has been all his life. He will get smart, condescending and sexist, because that is who he is! He, like most elite Delawareans, is a closet rascist. I say that from personal experience. But that is another post.

That trait might carry more weight had the teleprompter worked properly during her speech.

On a side note, one might wonder how the democrat presidential candidate might do if his teleprompter were to mis-operate mid-speech.

I have never, not in all my life, seen the political left, secular liberals, and Marxists in general, so utterly deranged and in such complete chaos over one person.

This woman is destroying them, she's driving them insane, they are all going right over the cliff. This is a fascinating phenomenon. There is something deep and visceral here, far beyond Sarah Palin. She has brought out something so visceral and deep seated and ugly in the left that I am just stunned watching it all unfold.

I wish I knew what it was. Is it the fact she's a woman who doesn't fit their mold and threatens their identity politics like Clarence Thomas did? Is it the fact she's an outsider who isn't part of the Georgetown set and cocktail circuit? Is it the fact that she is a Christian, or that she's a truly independent woman who thinks for herself and goes her own way?

Whatever it is, I can only quote Spock, "fascinating..."

You are a six-term senator and chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee. World leaders routinely friend you, unbidden, on Facebook...

OCTOBER 2003 midmonth : (NORWAY : EUROPEAN SOCIALISTS MEET WITH TOP US DEMOCRATS, INCLUDING HILLARY CLINTON, JOSEPH BIDEN [See John Kerry], RON KLAIN [see Wesley Clark] AND STAN GREENBERG, FORMER CLINTON CAMPAIGN STRATEGIST) Norway's Labour Party is joining other European social democrats in linking up with the Democrats in the US. The goal is to be prepared with common strategies if a majority of them on both sides of the Atlantic come back to power. A group of European social democrats, led by former British Foreign Minister Robin Cook, met last week with several top Democratic politicians and party officials. They included US senators Hilary Clinton and Joseph Biden.
They also had meetings with Ron Klain of presidential candidate Wesley Clark's campaign, and Stan Greenberg, former US President Bill Clinton's campaign strategist in 1992.
On the agenda was European concern over current US foreign policy and the effects of globalization.
Espen Barth Eide, who led the Norwegian delegation, said the group met "understanding" that "economic globalization must be accompanied by political globalization."
There remain wide differences between the European social democrats and their counterparts in the US, who tend to be far more conservative.
Barth Eide called it "natural" however, "to begin with those (in the US) who are closest to us (in ideology), even though the Democrats of course aren't social democrats."

JANUARY 2004 : (DAVOS, SWITZERLAND : WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM : US SENATOR BIDEN MEETS WITH IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER KAMAL KHARRAZI) Jan 24 - Senior US senator Joseph Biden criticized the American government's policies on Iran during a meeting with Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on the fringes of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, foreign ministry said on Saturday. The ranking Democrat on the senate Foreign Relations Committee from Delaware, "stressed the importance of Iran and the role which it can play in the sensitive and volatile region" in the Middle East. Joseph Biden told the Iranian foreign minister that he hoped the existing problems between the Islamic Republic of Iran and America would be removed someday.
Kharrazi had a 90-minute meeting with Biden in a rare high-level contact between Tehran and Washington, which have held no official relations since the 1979 Islamic revolution, in full view of reporters in a lounge at the World Economic Forum.
Kharrazi, in turn, said "The Iranian nation has suffered gravely from the antagonistic steps of the American government and so long as these wrong policies continue, there will be no ground for dialogue and improving the two countries' relations."
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that:"American statesmen are required first to change their existing approach and prove their good will in order to pave the way for dialogue and diplomatic relations according to mutual respect." --------- "US senator slams anti-Iran policies," IRIB News, Tehran, 2004/01/24

MARCH 2004 : (TIME MAGAZINE INTERVIEW : JOHN KERRY SAYS HE PLANS ON SENDING A TEAM TO IRAQ TO DO HIS THINKING FOR HIM - See JOE BIDEN, RAND BEERS AND NANCY STETSON) New York – Senator John Kerry tells TIME that he "almost certainly" will send a team to Iraq "within the next few weeks or months" to help him formulate his Iraq policy positions.
"I may ask some Democratic colleagues and experts to go to Iraq and make this assessment so I have a strong basis on which to proceed," he tells TIME's Perry Bacon, Lisa Beyer and Karen Tumulty on his campaign plane from Washington, DC to Florida last week. He mentions Senate colleague Joseph Biden, chief campaign foreign policy adviser Rand Beers and longtime Kerry Senate aide Nancy Stetson. But, says White House communications director Dan Bartlett, Kerry's "mission to finally understand what is happening in Iraq reveals once again that (his) attacks are based on politics, not facts." ---- "JOHN KERRY TELLS TIME HE WILL 'ALMOST CERTAINLY' SEND HIS OWN TEAM TO IRAQ TO ASSESS SITUATION 'WITHIN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS OR MONTHS'

JANUARY 11?, 2007 : (BIDEN STANDS UP IN IRAN'S DEFENSE...) WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's warnings to Iran and Syria to not interfere in Iraq and the arrest of six Iranians in Iraq by U.S. troops raised eyebrows Thursday on Capitol Hill, where senators warned Bush against widening the nearly four-year-old war. Sen. Joseph Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, warned Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that Bush did not have the authority to send U.S. troops on cross-border raids....(Excerpt) Read more at cnn.com ..
Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Nebraska, said Rice's responses had echoes of the debate over the Vietnam War, when the Nixon administration denied U.S. troops were conducting raids into neighboring Cambodia to stop the flow of weapons to South Vietnam's communist insurgency. Hagel, a veteran of that war, called Bush's plan "the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam." "When our government lied to the American people and said we didn't cross the border going into Cambodia, in fact we did. I happen to know something about that, as do some on this committee," he said. "Madame Secretary, when you set in motion the kind of policy that the president is talking about here, it's very, very dangerous."----- "Senators to Bush: Stay out of Iran," CNN.COM ^ | January 11, 2007 | CNN.COM

MARCH 2002 mid month : (AMERICAN-IRANIAN COUNCIL FETES HEGEL - SEE BIDEN, TORRICELLI) Why would Biden court Iranian-Americans [see Sadegh Namazikhah] partial to the repressive, terror-supporting, totalitarian regime? The answer appears to be as simple as a dollar sign. Biden is hardly alone. Just last week, the American-Iranian Council, a group backed by Conoco and other U.S. oil companies, feted Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., the only Republican official to criticize Bush's "Axis of Evil" speech. Biden was invited, along with Sen.
