Great job, attack media: Palin more popular than McCain, Obama

Rasmussen’s latest tracking poll has some good news for the McCain campaign. In the first tracking poll with post-Palin speech data, John McCain has begun his convention bounce, coming within two points of Barack Obama after being down as many as six this week. And in an ironic twist, Sarah Palin has better favorability numbers than either of them.

According to the internals, Palin now has solid favorable majorities from men (65%) and women (52%). Palin also has majority positive favorability ratings in all age demographics and in all income brackets. She also has majorities among conservatives and moderates, while trailing with liberals and black voters.

One embarrassing result for Obama comes from a comparison of their experience as a preparation for the Presidency. Obama only beats her by four points overall, only by nine points among women, and trails by three among men.

I gotta admit that before the Palin announcement my biggest reason for voting for McCain was Obama. Now I have something positive to vote for, and I hope a lot of other people feel that way.

Undoubtedly. It's not a coincidence the McCain campaign raised $10 million over a holiday weekend, crushing previous records, after her announcement for VP. And it's not a coincidence the RNC has raised $17 million the past two days.

Palin’s 40 million American viewers exceeded Obama’s 38 million, despite the fact that four networks chose not to broadcast Palin’s speech—BET, TV One, Univision and Telemundo. Fox led the way with 9.2 million people, the third-largest audience in its history, behind only President Bush’s speech on Iraq in March 2003 and a Bush-Kerry presidential debate in 2004—the first time a cable network had outdrawn broadcasters for a major news event.

The audiences for the Obama and Palin speeches were bigger than the ones this year for the Academy Awards, the finale of “American Idol” or the Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing. Viewers were far more interested in Palin than Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden. Biden’s speech to Democrats last week was seen by an estimated 24 million people.

COMMENT: How could Obama make such a mistake in picking Biden? Didn't Obama's vetting machine know that Americans are not interested in the has-been and never-was Joe Biden, who received less votes for president that Palin received as mayor? What does this say about Obama’s judgment, already under severe scrutiny for the issue positions he's taken, untaken and retaken?

So women are more sexist against themselves than men are. Idiots.

Let them attack...they are digging their own hole.

This is exactly how American politics should work.

Sarah Palin did not go to school to be a politician. She has not aspired to power or influence. She heard a call...a call from the heart in the midst of her normal life.

She then responded to that call in her heart and went from there...line upon line, here a little and there a little until this type of wonder is performed on an ordinary person whose sole desire was simply to help her family, community, state, and now nation.

HOW THE SARAH PALIN PICK TRUMPS OBAMA-BIDEN

Next on the agenda for the media: an aggressive series of pro-Obama attacks on baseball and apple pie.

Break that female demographic down into married women and unmarried women and my guess is that you will see Palin leading among marrieds and trailing deeply among unmarrieds.

Few people I know are as passionate partisans of abortion as unmarried women in their twenties and thirties.

He's barely smart enough to know he should be afraid of Hillary and not quite smart enough to know he should fear Biden too. Sort of like putting your head in an alligator's mouth and thinking it wouldn't dare bite down. . .

If the coming election was a 4-way election between Sarah, McCain, Obie and Biden(Plagerist-DE), Palin would be the next president.

"How could Obama make such a mistake in picking Biden?"

Buffoons of a feather flock together. But there is something more telling about the Democrat Party. And it is this: There are NO Democrat females who have the mass appeal to women that Palin has. The Democrats need to be asking themselves why. And they need to come to an honest assessment because the future looks grim for them if they fail to correct this.
