Obama enlists Clinton to help counter Palin (Hussein Obomber having trouble with 'experience')

Rapid-response team of female surrogates is being readied to take on the Republican ticket.

Sen. Barack Obama will increasingly lean on prominent Democratic women to undercut Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. John McCain, dispatching Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to Florida on Monday and creating a rapid-response team to deploy female surrogates to battleground states, Obama advisers said Thursday.

Clinton's campaign event in Florida, her first for Obama since the Democratic convention, will include a forceful response to the searing attacks and fresh burst of energy that Palin injected into the race with her convention speech on Wednesday, Obama aides said.

With the McCain-Palin team courting undecided female voters, including some who backed Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Obama aides said they were counting on not only Clinton but also Democratic female governors to criticize Palin -- and, by extension, McCain. Those governors include Janet Napolitano of Arizona and Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas.

Some Democrats were urging Obama's campaign not to underestimate the potential power of Palin's speech. On liberal talk-radio shows and on left-leaning blogs, some Democrats said the Obama campaign should fight back hard to avoid being caricatured as Sen. John Kerry was four years ago when he ran against President Bush. Some party strategists warned that Palin's personal narrative as a "hockey mom" with a special-needs child would appeal to some undecided women.

**SNIP**

David Axelrod, the Obama campaign's chief political strategist, said Obama would not raise questions about Palin's experience. Axelrod said the campaign would work instead to impress upon voters the seriousness of the race and continue to try to link the McCain-Palin team to Bush.

Rush stated that some "unforseen" circumstances might knock Biden out of the race in the near future, and Obama might make some sort of last ditch effort to grab Hillary.

There has been FR speculation about this, too... Biden has had a couple aneurysms and is at a risk of having another.

Metrosexual Obama can't fight his own battles, has to import some machismo to battle Palin.

Wimp.

I'm going to fall off my chair if I keep reading this. :-)

to avoid being caricatured as Sen. John Kerry was -- Gosh, dunno, getting dangerously close.

That’s like relying on the defense to win the game for you when your offense is constantly going 3 and out.

Interesting... I read yesterday on HillaryClintonForum.net that two of Hillary’s top campaign people are going to McCain’s camp to help... I haven’t been able to find that info. elsewhere - yet. I think Hillary is going to be gritting her teeth and biting her lip if she says anything bad about Palin.

Did you catch Greta Van Sustern's interview with Rush Limbaugh this evening?

I heard it and I'm pretty sure the Maha will NEVER mention the LIVE FOX TELEVISION interview on his show.

Rush runs this country. You know it. I know it.

She doesn’t want him to win.

It would surprise me if SHE voted for McPain as well as Ferraro.

Yes! Perfect strategy, Barack! Bring in the nails-on-blackboard screeching pantsuited harridan known as “America’s Ex-Wife” to battle the poised, lovely, hyper-intelligent Ms. Palin. You betcha! That’ll work juuuuust fine!

Another masterstroke for the completely clueless Obama campaign.

He should change his name from Obama to 0bama (that’s a zero not an O) to indicate his experience.

Zerobama - Bringing a new level of experience to our hope for change.

“Why does Obama need to recruit girls to fight these battles? Why do we have to have a cat fight using Dem. women against Palin?

If women have truly made it in politics, why do you need women to criticize another woman candidate?”

Er, Obama, baby doesn't have the guts to fight off the desertion. Big girls intimidate him.

Surprised?? Hitlery will do everything POSSIBLE to sink Osamabama as long as her fingerprints can't be detected. She cannot tolerate an Osamabama victory, and she most certainly will not become second banana on his ticket.

A lesson from American history: the ONLY sitting VP to challenge a sitting president was John Nance Garner in 1940, challenging Roosevelt, ostensibly because Garner revered the ''2-term tradition'' started by George Washington.

Garner got his clock very thoroughly cleaned, and vanished from politics, couldn't run for dogcatcher, as they say. Hitlery would too, postulating an Osamabama victory in 2008.

As an 'outsider' in 2012, i.e. not a sitting officeholder, she has a chance (in the best of all worlds, 2 chances, namely, 'none' and 'whatchu smokin').

Hitlery wants the presidency as badly as a crackhead wants another pipefull. She simply will NOT put herself at any perceived or historical disadvantage in attempting to achieve that goal. PUMA sums it up nicely: Party Unity? My A&& (and a very substantial one it is, too).
