Obama Campaign: "Palins Speech Did Not Say One True Thing About Obama "
New York Post ^ | 09/04/08

PITTSBURGH – Barack Obama's camp is unloading on Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin after Palin described herself as a "pit bull" and then tore into Obama in a tough convention speech.

"There wasn't one thing that she said about Obama or what he's proposing that's true," fumed Obama's strategist David Axelrod, speaking to reporters aboard Obama's campaign plane.

Axelrod defended Obama against one of Palin's most biting lines, when she ridiculed a favorite part of Obama's resume, saying: "I guess a small town mayor is sort of like a community organizer -- except that you have actual responsibilities."

"They can demean service in the community but I think most people appreciate it," Axelrod shot back.

We must ask if this isn’t another trap that McCain set out.

Right now, McCain has his VP running against Obama and Biden; and she is layin' an asswhoopin' on them. If he didn't plan it, I certainly hope he exploits it.

I still don't know what B. Hussein DID as a community organizer. What the hell is it?

I'm only speculating here, but I suspect it is a government paid position to go to poor areas and talk about the values of work, staying off drugs, etc. As well as looking for grants and trying to mobilize government to build things and provide grants. Midnight basketball kind of stuff.

You know, a total waste of tax dollars. Chicagoans were probably paying his salary with their taxes, but maybe federal grants are involved.

We should use the correct term for Obama’s job:

Party Organizer.

They can demean service in the community but I think most people appreciate it

In what possible way is this a refutation of what she said? This is the same old "it's not fair" line of "argument" that liberals and children have been using for years and years.

If this is the best that they can come up with, then the speech was a smashing success - which we all already know it was.

If Obama is so proud of all of his accomplishments early in his career, why doesn't he list them? Show us how his community is better now than it was before he organized it. Tell us how he spent his days during that time.

If his "work as a constitutional lawyer" is so great, tell us how he contributed to our national understanding of the constitution.

I'm starting to think that those who say that picking Palin hurt McCain on the experience issue are being short-sighted. It's beginning to look like the more the focus is on lack of experience, the better it is for McCain.

Palin’s best line was about taking down the Styrofoam Greek columns and hauling them back to the studio lot.

Obama is the Styrofoam politician. Looks good on the surface but very light weight with no internal substance.

She had many great lines and one of my favorite was the fact that Obambi had time to write 2 memoirs but name one legislature bill that O has written ????

He accused Palin of trying to "ignore his work as a constitutional lawyer, as a professor at the University of Chicago, his eight years in the legislature, his years in the United States Senate."

well... what did you ACCOMPLISH in these capacities, Barry?
And we KNOW what a "constitutional lawyer" is - someone who has no clue as to what the ACTUAL CONSTITUTION means, just what the Supreme Court says about it.

"They can demean service in the community but I think most people appreciate it," Axelrod shot back.

What Obama did as "Community Organizer" isn't "Service to the community".

It is political agitation and manipulation of the masses to advance a political agenda.

It's a term straight out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" where he defines the role of a duplicitous rabble rouser that uses the "useful idiots" for his own goals.

Does this sound familiar? -

"there are no fixed chronological points or definite issues. The demands are always changing the situation is fluid and ever-shifting, and many of the goals are not in concrete terms of dollars and hours but are psychological and constantly changing, like "such stuff as dreams are made on".

Can you say "hope and change"?

He's trying the same tactics on the entire nation.

They’ve had 12 hours to “rapidly repond” and this is the best Axelrod can come up with?

I guess the ridicule stung very badly.

He also called her hometown Wassilly instead of Wassilla.
Further evidence that he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

I love it! They are arguing that being a ‘community organizer’ is as relevant to most people as being the local mayor!

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Throw us in that brier patch, Mr Liberal! Let’s see how many people believe their local mayor does more than the local community organizer!

Heck, who even HAS a community organizer? How do you get elected - or appointed - to a job like that?

A community organizer is Jesse Jackson without the executive skills. And the democrats want to run as that, against a mayor who actually has budgets, deadlines, projects to manage and problems to solve?

‘Getting people to complain’ vs ‘finding solutions’ - and the democrats WANT the comparison?!?! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dream is that they trot out Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to tell us what community organizing is all about.

just my opinion - the hood rats camp is scared because Sarah somehow makes people forget about “white guilt” which is one of the things they are counting on.

I am sure I can come up with a whole list of things that were true about Obama in her speech.

Yeah...let me think...oh, I know!

Everything she said!

So, the messianic NoOb wasn’t a community organizer? He didn’t vote “present” over a hundred times in the Illinois State Senate? They may have a point though ... I tried to look up “community organizer” in the local phone book to no avail. ;O)

What are some real examples of his leadership and work?

His greatest accomplishment, his greatest service to America, was that he beat the Clinton Machine. Maybe they can put that on his resume to win over the Hillary voters.... no wait.

There's a lot of community organizers around. Most often, they are also working a REAL JOB.

I believe Obama left his job for this Community Gig.
