Alaska Gov. Sarah Palins speech during Wednesday nights Republican National Convention bested Democratic speeches from Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and, in some cases, Barack Obama in preliminary ratings.
Speaking last night, along with former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Gov. Palin took in a 5.4 rating/8 share on NBC, according to preliminary overnight household data from Nielsen Media Research, measuring 55 markets across the United States.
In terms of this years conventions, the preliminary rating for NBCs coverage last night is higher than any other night of the convention on the broadcast networks, including Sen. Obamas nomination acceptance speech on Aug. 28.
However, the ratings are preliminary and are subject to change.
ABC averaged a 4.0/6, up more than a full ratings point against the DNCs third day, and CBS scored a 3.1/5, beating its previous Wednesday coverage by 29%.
Numbers! I want viewers or millions of households!
I also want to know how Fox did against MSNBC!
The MSM only has themselves to blame for hyping up Palin with all of the stories about her family issues, it definately helped to fuel the ratings.
please ping me with any updated news...
Sounds awsome to me!
Note the prophetic quote of SOURCERY in tagline:
Put some ice on that, Barry!
Thanks to the media’s full-scale assault on her, millions tuned in — and saw Gov. Palin knock out a stunning speech. Now America has been properly introduced to our next vice president.
This is what I’ve been waiting to see since Sarah stepped off the stage. I’m convinced she won over everyone who saw her last night. Well, anyone with a functioning brain, that is.
This is really a case of “the angel in the whirlwind.” If the MSM and Dems hadn’t gone berserk over trying to destroy Sarah Palin, not that many would have been watching.
HA! Good. They watched in droves, and what they saw was a great speech.
Excellent.
All the hype and garbage about Palin’s family had an unintended consequence: curiousity caused a lot of people to tune in to get a good look at her, viewers who wouldn’t have watched otherwise.
And I’m betting they liked what they saw!
Arg! Fixing ....

This is HUGH!
Not to mention the people waqtching on C-Span, DISH-network live feed, etc.
AND, beating NoBama!! Thanks to the media!
GREAT NEWS!
The more people who see her, the better.
Ditto for Obama.
Thank you Lord.
