Alan Wolfe is yet another lib defining what “evangelicals” believe and think and then explaining why Palin doesn’t fit “our” mold.

He is so wrong. He couldn’t be wronger!

These are people who disagree with Barack Obama's position on abortion but respect him as a Christian.

So they're not upset that Barack supports murder, but they will be upset that big bad Sarah said baaaad things about him?

LIBS ARE DESPARATE - the roaches are coming out of the woodwork:

Alan Wolfe - was a member of the collective that put out the Marxist-oriented journal, Kapitalistate, whose pages featured articles by such writers as Poulantzas, Claus Offe, Ralph Miliband, and Bob Jessop. By the early 1980s, Wolfe's politics had become more centrist.

A contributing editor of The New Republic, The Wilson Quarterly, Commonwealth Magazine, and In Character, Wolfe writes often for those publications as well as for Commonweal, The New York Times, Harper's, The Atlantic Monthly, The Washington Post, and other magazines and newspapers. He served as an advisor to President Bill Clinton in preparation for his 1995 State of the Union Address...

Someone with Obama's position on abortion is NOT a Christian. Period. It doesn't matter what he considers himself. It's what God thinks of him.

Alan Wolfe is a TNR contributing editor and director of the Boisi Center for Religion and American Public Life at Boston College.

Alan Wolfe is a fool and a liar as well, but that's obvious.

He claims also, and perhaps not surprisingly, that he didn't expect evangelicals to be supporting charity. ????

His immediate hatred of conservatives (see it in his language and terms such as “country-club”) show that he has NO understanding of what he (claims to) be teaching. I cannot imagine any more of a waste of time, money, and ink than to take a course in religion under a “man” who claims to have no religion.

But one who worships the god earth anyway. Who cannot see Obama’s lies for they are.

Alan Wolfe is an excellent example of the soul darkened by selfishness, spittling bitterness from the depth of his emptiness and pretending it's objective analysis. Sadly, this is what a William Ayers style organization to train teachers can accomplish, and these sorts infest even the Catholic Universities.

Happily, if such a man showed up seeking a job at my granddaughter's Church School, he would be interviewed and his resume set aside and he would not be called back for a second look.

The poor fool thinks his essay will persuad young people to turn away from Sarah Palin. I sure hope the clueless continue this abject stupidity for the next two and a half months because every time these dolts expose themselves, more bright young people see the stark contrast of dead soul walkin'. The democrat party is built of such deadness sauntering across America.

“Finally, and most importantly, Palin did not speak to the powerful sense emerging among evangelicals that all Christians, and not just Catholics, should do their best to insure social justice in this world.”

I think the faux “evangelicals” of whom Alan writes are eventually going to find their numbers declining a la the mainline Protestant churches. When the Gospel and solid Biblical teaching are abandoned in the pursuit of a social “gospel,” people end up seeking the real thing elsewhere.

**Evangelicals are becoming increasingly persuaded that Christians are under an injunction to preserve and protect the natural environment bequeathed to us by God. They will not be attracted to destroying the beauty of Alaska to fill our all-too- human urge to drive cars.**

I’m for the evangelicals on this one. They have been misrepresented by this writer/supposed writer.

LOL, I suppose we here could claim Obama hasn’t won over ALL the blacks either, but so what?

Here is a man with no beliefs of his own and being a non believer naturally wants to believe many others share his position(misery loves company). Of course they do not, not even close but in order to find a bit of solace from the freight train named the Palin Express barreling down the track, which he knows is about to obliterate his Party, he has to convince himself that after all Palin was not PERFECT.

Just think how a few short months ago they were measuring the Oval office for Obama’s drapes. I know it’s a long way from over but the stark difference between where the Party was then and where we are now couldn’t be greater. Sara Palin is the real deal and will be a super force in our Party for decades to come.

Perhaps a young Ronald Reagan or dare I say more?
