Shirley Chisholm, who first took the "white-male-only" sign off the White House, wasn't that the capitol building?

If Gloria Steinhem doesn’t like her, then that’s about the best endorsement that she could possibly get, IMHO.

This mantra they are all using, "Yes, a woman, but not this woman" was the same as they said when Clarence Thomas was nominated, "Yes, a black man, but not this black man." The obvious hypocrisy, double-standard does not and will not go unnoticed by the American voter.

These miserable, liberal women just can't stand the fact that Palin has a family who she loves, a job that she loves, a country that she loves and a God who she loves. She didn't go to Smith or Harvard and then spend the next twenty years whining about how unfair life is. She's got problems just like everyone else but she's upbeat and optimistic and they hate her for it.
On a side note, I just want to say that Mom, who has never been involved or interested in politics, called me up this morning practically giddy and said "I really, really like her. She's just like one of us." Who knows, Mom may even vote this year!!!

I’m betting they’re getting a strong conservative response and keep hitting “delete, delete, delete...” so much for professional journalism.

So Steinem is supporting an unqualified male for President and bashing a more qualified woman who is running for VP. Feminism sure has come a long way.
Having watched the left for over 40 years, I have come to the conclusion that leftists don’t really believe in things like feminism. Feminism is just a tool they use to take attack the system. When the tool becomes counterproductive, they cast it aside. That is how feminists could support Bill KKKlinton, the sexual harasser and likely rapist. If they really believed in feminism they would have demanded his resignation, however that would have conflicted with their primary goal of furthering the leftist agenda. Their attacks on Palin are another example. True femininsts would support a woman running for VP, instead they attack her because she stands in the way of a male leftist.

I think it was Camille Paglia who pointed out that before she latched on to feminism, Gloria’s career consisted of writing something like a House and Garden column in the Sunday Slimes Magazine.
Then her “consciousness was raised”.

The left should direct their dissatifaction to Obama for not picking Hillary for VP. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
