He was pro’ly paying much more attention to her than to the speech. She’s a little better looking than those other three speakers, don’tcha know. :P
The Teleprompter wasn’t broke—it was just hurrying to get done fast because it was scared of Sarah Palin.
Perhaps he/she was just to mesmerized by the speech to pay attention to the job at hand?
I did notice CSPAN coverage had a few segments looking overf her shoulder with the TelePrompter scrolling in the background.
Honestly, she could have given that speech without the visual aids.

I guess the operator doesn’t have to worry about Christmas shopping money...but it certainly didn’t interfere with Sarah’s magnificent speech.
If this account is true, the Leftists who were spouting the line that anyone can give a speech like that with a teleprompter will look even more feckless than usual.
I doubt that it was sabotage. The teleprompter operator sits underneath the stage, and can’t really see what is going on. The screen is rather small, and it’s not easy to keep it synchronized it when the audience is interrupting the speaker with applause for every line.
She gave the speech of a life time. It was so good the person running the teleprompter was probably watching her and forgot to roll the teleprompter. LOL I saw nothing that looked like she was even using the teleprompter. She was amazing!
There were a couple of times that I detected something and I figured the teleprompter was screwed up, but she just kept on going.
Don’t know if this is sabotage, but it could be. Democrats can be everywhere, even at the Republican convention.
I don’t think she was looking at the teleprompter (off to the 10am and 2pm positions from her podium) much at all. Most of the time she was looking straight ahead at the camera.

I swear I saw something off on the delivery and was wondering the same thing. Who the EFF was running the thing? Delay on an applause.

I had no idea anything happened until I read about it later, though I did see someone being led away during the speech.
I heard they tried to storm the stage or something like that.

Sarah was evidently up for anything last night. And we can do the same for her by praying daily for her and McCain. God bless them both, and America!
She was also unfazed by the arrest of the four Code Pinkos.
The operator rolls a VERY sensitive wheel that scrolls text on a 6' x 6' white-on-black screen, while listening to the speaker in headphones, hooping to keep the words being spoken next to a large arrow.
It isn't easy to master the touch - OTOH, once you mess up once you ought to be able to stop scrolling when you hear the applause.
Maybe they didn't get the applause she did.
