McCain to use the Democrat-supporting blogs against Obama
Spectator ^ | September 3, 2008 | Fraser Nelson

The stature of the blogs is a striking feature of the American elections. There are more of them, and some of the best journalists now working exclusively online (which means there are several news cycles in a day, and newspapers are outdated by 9am). Sites like Politico have done a talent swoop; the Drudge Report is checked several times a day by most American journalists, used as a radar. Now there are attack dog sites: scores of them, eager to tear into the other side. The Daily Kos – described as “extreme left” by Fox – is one. But others, less well-known, go even further.

But in going after Palin’s family – with rumours about the parentage of Trig, her youngest child with Down syndrome – the blogs may now be starting to rebound on Obama. The Republicans have a strategy here of the “false proxy” where they say it’s the Democrats – not the blogs – which are mud-raking. Fred Thomson used this trick last night, effectively suggesting Obama is coming after Palin’s family. Obama immediately spotted the potency of this charge and – as James says – elegantly distanced himself from some attacks. But I hear the McCain team’s strategy today is to accuse Obama of a sexist double-standard, calling for peace on the record but sending out the attack dogs meanwhile. Belief in the vicious nature of the other side is a major stirring factor in campaigns. “Remember,” said one (female) strategist at a fringe event I was at, “the left would eat your two eyeballs as grapes if they could. So if you say ‘we can win’ you are complicit in an Obama victory. You must say ‘we will win’”.

In the 2004 presidential campaign it was the 527s, independent attack dogs with websites and TV

without the radical left blogs - McCain would not be the Dem nominee

Obama owes them -- and they expect payment

Thought this part was interesting, towards the end: "Joe Lieberman will today hold a news conference calling on Obama to condemn Robert Wexler"

Good I hope so because the democrats are behind this, using the media as their surrogates. I want to share two things on this, one you all know, one I’ve mentioned before.

First, it was reported on air the Obama campaign was furiously texting reporters and providing questions to be asked of Palin.

Second, in 2000 I knew a high official of the Gore campaign in a battleground state. That person was extremely close to DNC Chair Ed Rendell. The Gore official told me they were desperately trying to get the press to publish a vicious personal scandal against George W. Bush. I have never revealed the scandal story, which I am sure was untrue, out of respect for President Bush. But my point is I know the democrats do this and I know the press covers up their involvement, after all the democrats can hide behind being a “confidential source”.

So believe me, while Obama says “family is off limits” he really is unleashing the hounds of Hell on Sarah Palin and her young family.

Finally!

A major politico that’s following my advice. It’s quite simple, really:

To defeat the left, expose the left.

Decent people will not stand for their abhorrent behavior.

Blogging. Maybe it’s time that we unite and attack certain LW blog sites. She need to set up a schedule on the sites and blanket them. If someone can put together a list, i would work on a schedule. I think it’s time to return the favor to the libs. We need to go on the offensive. Why should we have to react? Let’s put them on the defensive for a change. After all, we aren’t the ones attacking delegates, slashing tires, hitting and shoving and threatening delegates in the streets, throwing bottles at the delegates and smashing delegate car windows. I wonder why the LW news think this is acceptable behavior

So, who will post the blog sites for the attack?

He attends their rallies, he posts there, he accepts their money. They are directly linked and should be shown to be before the American people. IF he is really about change and a new and more uplifting type of politics, and IF his campaign is his claim to the W.H., prove you really do want change Obama. Go after Kos, DU, the mainstream media. But I don’t think you will.

Folks - the Culture War is now here. The war has started. It is now full blast. Man the barracades. It has arrived in our streets and we are now in hand-to-hand combat.

MAKE NO MISTAKE. THIS IS ALL-OUT WAR for the soul of our convictions!!!! THEY ARE COMING AT US WITH FULL BLAST.

The McCain campaign is totally aware of the OBAMA RADICALIZATION of our country with the MEDIA in full support mode, and they are now going to spare no effort to defeat this.

We need everyone involved in this campaign!!!!

Robert Wexler could make Golda Meir anti-Semitic. He is everything loathsome about American Jewery gone insane with hatred against the only country outside of Israel to give us Jews a true home. He has been revealed as a liar and cheat and for him to falsely label someone as a "Nazi" both diminishes the true horror of the Nazis and makes me cringe with shame and anger. He needs to be defeated for re-election most decidedly.

It’s all typical of Hussien’s M.O. Look at how he ran his senate campaign. The dirt about his opponents didn’t just come out by itself.

This is not just a “culture war” or even an “ideological battle” -

what I’m seeing is a full out Good v Evil war coming to a head here.

Palin has been called forth to battle, and is being met by the minions of evil. No less than that.

I agree!!! It’s total GOOD vs EVIL. Look at what the ‘other side’ stands for, and you will find it in the worst of societies in this world. They are filled with anti-Americanism hatred, secularist anti-God hatred, and anti-democratic fascist ideals. They are filled with hate and retribution. I say we spare no legal effort in destroying these peoples ability to engage and influence the direction of our well-being.

Like I said, to

defeat the left
expose the left.

That’s the best weapon that God has given us - humanity’s innate sense of right and wrong.
