Word is out that high profile Barack Obama supporter and Us Weekly Magazine publisher Jann Wenner is using his magazine to smear Governor Sarah Palin from grocery store check out aisles and newsstands across the country. (h/t Michelle Malkin)
The tabloid style attack hypes the ridiculously out of context claims of the Huffington Post that Sarah Palin ridiculed State Senate President Lyda Green in an interview with radio talk show host Bob Lester on the popular Bob and Mark radio show.
On January 15, Alaska governor Sarah Palin laughed along with an Alaskan shock-jock DJ who called her political rival Lyda Green a "cancer," a "b#@ch" and ridiculed her weight. (Green is a cancer survivor.)
The Us magazine cover story is filed under the URL slug "sarah-palin-very-difficult-to-work-with". This particular smear job on Sarah Palin was literally spoon fed to the magazine and bloggers on the left by the Huffington Post that featured a hacked up YouTube version of the interview that was edited to take Governor Palin out of context and make the incident sound worse than it really was

Can you post a side by side US magazine cover of the way they portrayed Obama & Michelle?
Everyone should go to their bookstore, shake out the subscription little cards and drop them in the mail for processing. Grab a few SLimes and Newsweak cards as well.
Disgusting yellow journalism practiced in the gutter by a lightweight magazine starving for relevance.
May their readership plummet.

Well at least they’re admitting that John McCain is President and Palin the Vice President already!
Lot of women in top management positions at that mag.
Oh the irony...
The media is DISGRACEFUL.
“Let them know how you feel?”
I don’t read and/or subscribe to US magazien so...
I’ll let them know how I “feel” when I vote for McCain/Palin on 11/4! LOL
More effective—Contact the advertisers in this rag and let them know how you feel.
What “lies” are they talking about?
RE: “Disgusting yellow journalism practiced in the gutter by a lightweight magazine starving for relevance. May their readership plummet.”
EXACTLY. “Lightweight” indeed! US is People-light — if it’s possible to be “lighter” than People mag. When “magazines” of that ilk first appeared, my friends and I all joked that they were picture books for people who cannot read!!! Now they are worse — picture books with disgusting inflammatory headlines and “stories.”
Really disgraceful!
Despicable dimocrats.

RE: “Everyone should go to their bookstore, shake out the subscription little cards and drop them in the mail for processing. Grab a few SLimes and Newsweak cards as well.”
Yes! And while we’re at it, I would suggest we all bury the mags behind others at checkstands and on mag. racks in markets, bookstores — wherever we find them. My dad was in the publishing business and amused himself for years doing just that whenever he was near a newsstand — he always “hid” the competition’s automotive mags., however — garbage of the current type didn’t even exist when he was in the publishing business.
I visit several markets per week and will do my best to “remove” the trash from sight at every opportunity. We can make a difference.
why bother...the publisher is an Obama supporter...
the only substantive response would be to cancel the subscription if one is a subscriber and/or if you are an advertiser in the magazine; quit advertising in the magazine
the only thing that Libs “get” is “hit them in the wallet!”
I just stopped by my local chain grocery store, which I have patronized for years and where I know the manager. I explained to him that a lot of customers were going to be very offended by that article (that issue of US magazine was not yet on the stands), and I explained what the cover was like that would offend them. (The two WOMEN who were running the adjacent checkouts were AGHAST). I told him to be ready for people either trying to trash the magazine (under the veggies or
whatever) or (like me) refusing to patronize the store.
He assured me that that issue of that magazine will never make it to the checkout magazine stands. He will pull it and send it back.
