AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, Doctor of Democracy, and Chief of the Patriotism Police. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
Sadly looking in the mirror, trying to see Sarah. ";^(
Hi WBC! Cannot wait for Gov.Palin’s speech tonight!
Where are these same Feminists now that we have an AMERICAN EVERYWOMAN, that is everything Democrats claimed a woman could be for 40 years running for Vice-President of the United States??
Gawd, that’s it in a nutshell. Palin absolutely exemplifies everything the libs have screeched about all these years — she “has it all”. EXCEPT.... she’s never advocated killing a baby to get it. And for THAT, they will not forgive her, and THAT is what becomes clearer and clearer to anyone paying a scant bit of attention. It all, and I mean ALL, comes down to the liberal sacrament of abortion.

WOW - THIS NAILS IT!!!
Perfectly said!
Lord! THIS is the Fred I knew was in there. I really, really love Fred. Hope he has a prominent role in the McCain/Palin administration.

Eish.
Via NY Daily News... dig the first paragraph:
The cold-country hockey jock who knocked up the 17-year-old daughter of Sen. John McCain’s running mate is “psyched” to be a baby daddy, his pals said.
Then look what follows:
A day after 18-year-old Levi Johnston was revealed as the future father of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s grandchild, his closest friends touted him as a standup dude.
“Of course he is psyched to be a father,” said Blake Weiland, 18. “I mean he loves the idea of being a father and raising a child.”
-—Whoa, they’re not gonna like that. Standby for evidence of drug and alcohol use as a toddler and being tested on the breathalyzer the O talks about (he was speaking of asthma btw), or the revelation that Tig is the father of the coming baby. /s
Gee, they even have the same little poll US magazine had...
Now FRed
Go FRed!
She better be the person of the year for Time magazine!
MSNBC Olberman just raised his Fred Thompson cough count to 72, has yet to count Obamas Ahhhhhs(crickets)
Matthews not because they had to pick a VP at the last minute[like Biden is something to crow about, and Obama is Attention Deficit]
MSNBC would do better to pick names out of the phone book when hiring reporters
The Dems and libs are in desperation mode. They may not be doing the smearing, but they sure let others do it for them.
ME TOO! I voted for him just before he quit but I’m not mad at him anymore. :)
Only Fred could deliver like he did last night.
Fred was on Fire last night.
Thank you thank you Fred Thompson!
I'm totally speculating here, but it's always been my perception that what drove Lieberman out of the Dem party is the fact that, as a Jew, he has a highly realistic understanding of the Islamofascist threat. He accurately perceives that the Dems neither believe in the threat nor are willing to fight it. Add to that their historic support for the "palestinians" and opposition to Israel, and his decision is completely understandable to me. Lieberman may be a liberal on every other issue, but to him, I believe, the anti-semitic threat is the most important one.
Watch out! The Copyright Police will be coming for you too!

Sarah Palin, the Republicans’ surprise choice for the vice-presidential slot on the presidential ticket, will go before her party’s national convention and her fellow Americans tonight and make her first major address since presumptive presidential nominee John McCain chose her for the No. 2 spot.
Meanwhile, McCain flew into the Twin Cities, arriving about noon at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. He was met on the tarmac by among others his wife, Cindy, and Palin and her family.
That included Palin’s pregnant teenage daughter, Bristol, and father-to-be Levi Johnston. McCain gave Bristol numerous hugs, patted Johnston on the arm and spoke with the couple longer than any of the others in the greeting line.
Palin, the first-term Alaska governor, will accept her party’s nomination at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul starting at about 9:30 p.m. CDT, said McCain campaign manager Rick Davis, noting that “I’m sure everybody is excited about” what she has to say.
In a humorous nod to the talkative ways of an earlier speaker, Davis said that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s turn at the podium earlier in the evening might back up the schedule a bit on Day 3 of the four-day convention.

The little bit of Southern drawl really helps. Man, how I wish we were looking at a Thompson/Palin ticket instead.... but I digress...
I never put PMS-NBC on my little tv by my home pc, so I missed that segment with Newt. Someone posted a link to it via youtube on last night’s Convention thread so I saw it there. It’s slightly over one minute, so it’s very short. But it was clear that Newt had had enough. I almost felt sorry for the reporter. ALMOST.
These soundbites from Fred’s speech are so terrific!!!! GO FRED!!!
After the RUSH! Before the LOUNGE! Stop by the Hannity Thread for Food, Folks & Fun...we’re getting ready for Sarah tonight!
