Sarah Palin's Parenting Choices Under Fire (Sexist MSM trying new tactics in "moral equivalents")
abc ^ | 9/3/2008 | SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES

Sarah Palin, who has morphed into America's new conservative feminist, has turned the question of women's right on its head, complicating the already contentious Mommy Wars.

Christian conservatives are now touting what some say are "un-family" values, and longtime liberals are finding themselves critical of a woman's choice to raise children and earn a living, calling it "bad parenting."

With five children, including a 5-month-old infant with Down syndrome, the Republican vice presidential nominee faces enormous challenges as the ultimate working mother. And with her unmarried daughter now pregnant, she will have the additional task of being a grandparent.

Oh, my, guess McCain should have picked another RINO eh!

(Wonder if ABC's EEO lawyers checked this text out to see if they could end up losing a hiring discrimination case).

Oh, snap, what an obvious solution? But don’t all of Nancy’s have different fathers or something?

“longtime liberals are finding themselves critical of a woman’s choice to raise children and earn a living, calling it “bad parenting.”

More hypocrisy. It was the feminists who originally promoted working women. A Dim Veep canddiate with children would be exalted as the ultimate carrer woman.

The more the liberals try to mockingly point out the so called double standards of Palin, the more they expose the total lack of standards possessed by the left. Keep at it, dino-media, as you're creating more supporters for Palin, as all you are doing is demonstrating that when faced with tough choices, Palin and her family are choosing the right way every time.

Oh, and demonstrating that you hold all women in contempt who actually exercise their choices in having careers, in choosing to keep their babies, and in choosing marriage.

But, hey, nothing is making it more clear to the nation as a whole that liberal support for women is just empty words than these last few days.

What are the odds that Susan Donaldson James is related to ABC’s Sam Donaldson (there is rampant nepotisim amoung the MSM)? And the seed don’t fall far from the tree. This is the kind of drivel she does for ABC:

It’s so funny to see the msm if a fit rage and acting like a child the left is a thing of the past.

I’m not sure how much time each day it takes to be Governor of Alaska, but I think it’s a very safe bet that the job of VPOTUS is much more ‘flexible’ in that the actual duties are assigned by the President. We seem to have this idea the she’ll be burning the midnight oil 7-days a week. There will be times, I’m sure. But as a rule, I doubt it.

So even if we ‘vote against’ McCain/Palin on that basis it should be noted that she will continue to be Governor of Alaska. We’re not necessarily doing her family any favors by sending them back to the Alaska Statehouse.

Sarah Palin was also a small business owner in times past (commercial fishing). I can tell you from experience that 60+ hours are the norm for business owners. Yeah you have the ability to take an hour here or there, but you really ‘pay for it’ when you do.

I could be completely off-base on this, but we are all missing a lot of facts. I think this analysis is a reasonable as any.

Here’s how I view this in practical terms. Sarah’s oldest son is on his own, and Bristol is a senior in HS. They are both independent other than needing their parents for advice, support, and friendship. As VP, Sarah won’t ever have to worry about getting dinner ready, grocery shopping, running her kids to school, vacuuming the living room before an Ambassador drops by, etc. Yes, she’ll have plenty of duties as VP, but the time outside the job she can devote 100% to her children without all the tasks and worries that beset most other working moms. Not a bad gig at all.

What's the old saying? Great work, if you can get it!
