The Washington Post has sunk to DailyKos level with a post from Paul Kane:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live. After the legislature passed a spending bill in April, Palin went through the measure reducing and eliminating funds for programs she opposed. Inking her initials on the legislation -- "SP" -- Palin reduced funding for Covenant House Alaska by more than 20 percent, cutting funds from $5 million to $3.9 million. Covenant House is a mix of programs and shelters for troubled youths, including Passage House, which is a transitional home for teenage mothers.
As it turns out, their total government grants in 2006 were $1,194,788. In other words, even after the "slash[ing]" they got almost four times as much from Alaska alone than they did from all government sources in 2006.

Is her daughter expecting any funds from the government? I doubt it.
We're seeing the ultimate manifestation of that now.
That’s Kos. It rhymes with Soros.

Probably not . This is getting tiresome. They took their best shot. They are running out of gas. If palin does her job weds nite they will look like fools .

did you guys see Newt defending Gov. Palin and going after Obama? Reminded me why he was effective back in the day.
From the WP thread.
This is an increase over previous years. See prior funding.

2006 REVENUE for Covenant House Alaska
Contributions $1,667,796
Government Grants $1,194,788
Program Services $0
Investments $67,947
Special Events $271,980
Sales $0
Other $11,139
Total Revenue $3,213,650
Gov. Palin didnt slash anything from anybody. In fact, it seems that cutting from $5.0MM (Proposed) to $3.9MM (actual) wasnt too bad a deal for Covenant House Alaska, seeing that in 2006 their revenue from the govt was only $1.2MM.
The left is pulling out all the stops to get Palin to step down. It’s the same attack machine that went after Bork, Clarence Thomas, and other Republican appointees. We need to weather the storm by going on the attack. Take the gloves off, McCain, and go after Obama on everything from Rezko to his birth certificate.
Therir idea is: she should have let the schools teach her daughter sex education, and she should let the government take care of her daughter when something goes wrong. In reality, none of us know what really happened.
I am wondering if this was money destined for Planned Parenthood.
Story needs a little bit more digging.
This is beyond pathetic. Unless they come up with some kind of bombshell this will get old with America quick.

Translation:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to reduce the amount of money the state steals from working people.
So the compost is essentially lying by omission.
The MSM is treating Sarah Palin like the Chinese Government treats the Falun Gong.

Oops... bad translation; should read :
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to reduce the increase in the amount of money the state is allowed to steal from working people.
The Democrats (hence, the Media) pull this crap all the time. They propose big spending, a Republican gives them less than they propose, then they call it “slashing” or “cutting.” Remember when Bush was accused of taking the food out of the mouths of poor students by “slashing” the school lunch program? Yet, his budget included the largest-ever increase in funding.
The Media then reports it as truth and blasts Republicans. The ignorant public believes thier fabrications.
If the Media was fair, Republicans would never lose an election. The Media knows it. The Democrats know it, too.
