Is her daughter expecting any funds from the government? I doubt it.

The Clintons used to decry what they called "the politics of personal destruction".

We're seeing the ultimate manifestation of that now.

From the WP thread.

This is an increase over previous years. See prior funding.

IRS Form 990

2006 REVENUE for Covenant House Alaska

Contributions $1,667,796
Government Grants $1,194,788
Program Services $0
Investments $67,947
Special Events $271,980
Sales $0
Other $11,139
Total Revenue $3,213,650

Gov. Palin didn’t slash anything from anybody. In fact, it seems that cutting from $5.0MM (Proposed) to $3.9MM (actual) wasn’t too bad a deal for Covenant House Alaska, seeing that in 2006 their revenue from the govt was only $1.2MM.

The left is pulling out all the stops to get Palin to step down. It’s the same attack machine that went after Bork, Clarence Thomas, and other Republican appointees. We need to weather the storm by going on the attack. Take the gloves off, McCain, and go after Obama on everything from Rezko to his birth certificate.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.

Translation:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to reduce the amount of money the state steals from working people.

As it turns out, their total government grants in 2006 were $1,194,788. In other words, even after the "slashing" they got almost four times as much from Alaska alone than they did from all government sources in 2006.

So the compost is essentially lying by omission.

Oops... bad translation; should read :

The Democrats (hence, the Media) pull this crap all the time. They propose big spending, a Republican gives them less than they propose, then they call it “slashing” or “cutting.” Remember when Bush was accused of taking the food out of the mouths of poor students by “slashing” the school lunch program? Yet, his budget included the largest-ever increase in funding.

The Media then reports it as truth and blasts Republicans. The ignorant public believes thier fabrications.

If the Media was fair, Republicans would never lose an election. The Media knows it. The Democrats know it, too.

Three cheers for Governor Veto!

This is why sha has an 80% approval rating in Alaska. She is a good steward of their money.

Sen. Biden’s Daughter Arrested in Altercation

The daughter of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a police officer outside a Chicago bar.

Ashley Blazer Biden, 21, of Wilmington, Del., was with a group of people on a North Side street where several bars are located when someone else threw a bottle at an officer, police said.

When police tried to arrest another person, Biden blocked the officer’s path and made intimidating statements, officer JoAnn Taylor said.

Biden was later released and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 20.

Sen. Biden’s spokeswoman, Margaret Aitken, declined to comment, calling it a private, family matter.

Hunter Biden, age 38, may be involved in something criminal and the left-leaning press doesn’t care. But when Bristol Palin, age 17, does something that makes her human everyone on the left goes crazy.

Ok. I'll bite. Why do "teen mothers" need a place to live? Don't they already have a place? Or do they use their cars for more than just the horizontal bop?

Heh. Just when you think the Washington Post may be ready to step into the void left by the disgraced New York Times as America’s “paper of record”, the Post goes and again exposes itself as just another duplicitous propaganda agent for the DNC. Ah well...

In the end it makes no difference. The “new media” of talk radio and the internet has already stepped into the void because it is here that the truth is discovered.

This very thread is a perfect case in point.

WaPo likes more taxes and no “slashing”. After all, that’s working out great for states like CA and MI.
