This rumor is nonsense. If the girl is 5 months pregnant and the baby is 7 months old, how could it possibly be true? Yet in view of the utterly stupid move by the Palin family to have the girl and the alleged father at the Republican convention, will cause people to pause and think maybe there is something to it.

I have difficulty relating to parents who expose their teenage daughter to the media frenzy. I would never to that a daughter of mine no matter how disgusted I might be with her behavior. And imagine inviting the guy who got her pregnant to sit with them as if to say, "Look at us." Some people use body art, the Palin used the pregnancy.

This turns the convention into a circus and acts as a distraction. Maybe that is the purpose?

What a dweeb looking guy. No wonder he sits at a computer all day.

Oh, I'm sure he turns off the computer to spend some time at the nearest bathhouse or leather bar.

Knock off the crap. Maybe you should join the rats and the MSM with this slander. The ‘alleged Father’ is more accurately the ‘known fiance’. And YES they were engaged BEFORE the pregnancy troll. He has every RIGHT to stand up next to his FIANCE!

Wow. I had no idea that those lunatics at DU were tied to Newsweek through that so-called “journalist.”

This stuff is all going to backfire big time.

But you know what? They won’t care. I think in their heart of hearts, but subconsciously, because they’re not capable of rational thought, the Left WANTS to lose this election.

Their only “comfort zones” are as LOSERS and VICTIMS...and losing this thing will allow them to continue to whine, cry and stomp their feet over how “unfair” life is to them.

They’re really pretty transparent.

Name calling, you sound like a typical of liberals and John McCain supporters, and like you need a dose of Valium. I have no way of knowing if he is the father or not, just what I read in the reports. That is why the use of the word "alleged." One can also say "reported." It is done all the time to avoid lawsuits, indicated lack of proof, and so on. There was also a picture of a black dude, 16, posted on FR as the possible father.

I never the said the guy does not have the RIGHT, I just think it is a very bad decision for many reasons that should be obvious: the stress on the girl, the diversion, the implication that this is something to be proud of, a slap in the face of family values.

Since she is already 5 months pregnant and they were allegedly engaged before she got pregnant, it is obvious he has been dragging his feet re marriage.

This is almost unbelievable. I'm shocked at how low the Democrats are willing to stoop to destroy Palin.

As Fred Thompson said last night, the media and Democrats are in panic mode. This will enrage the base and draw more voters to our side. We have to keep the faith and fight on!

This is pathetic and disgusting. But not to be unexpected. Wait ‘til the tabloids get fired up on the pregnant 17 year old. It will get ugly and there will be a blow-back on the most scurrilous of the press and blogs - but after the family has been drug through the mud. For the sake of the family I hope Sarah and McCain re-think this choice. Life is unfair but the Family Needs to come first.

“Palin is a terrible choice for VP to take over in case McCain dies; however, McCain is a terrible choice for president. This is a lose, lose ticket.”

I hope you are in your fire suit. I got pounded on yesterday for suggesting teen pregnancy was not OK!!! My thought was that Palins need to come together as a family unit to deal with it and make sure the other two girls don’t end up in trouble also and more important not drag the family through the muck.

But NOOOO! as long as you are pro-life and can vaguely defeat Obama any sacrifice from others is Okie Dokie.

“choosing Palin showed me that he, at least, acknowledges conservatism and is willing to give us the opportunity to choose a conservative for the future.”

That was my original take. Now I am very concerned first about family and secondly we will not be able to stick to the message. McCain underestimated how much the press has turned on him.

“Tomorrow I’ll be at my local campaign office, signing up to volunteer.”

If I may, please, people, do not forget your local races. We just had a primary where 2/3rds of the GOP commissioners were tossed out of office. The only winning incumbent was appointed by Jeb and won by only 83 votes. There is a resurgent ticket of Dems Sierra Clubbers that have a shot despite being an overwhelmingly GOP county. Our taxes are way way up. Or government continues to take property rights. etc and they are REPUBLICANs.

We do have a shot to replace Mahoony who replaced Foley with a good candidate Rooney.

I cannot emphasis that the government impact on your life does not start and stop with the White House.

“I have difficulty relating to parents who expose their teenage daughter to the media frenzy.”

Thank you.

One thing that really bothers me is some people are supporting putting the family through this because it might help defeat Obama. Pathetic.

The MSM are traitors. They are vile. They are beneath contempt.

Concur. But the proper term of reference is *Downstream Media.*

Civil War II needs to start sooner than I thought....

Not necessarily; remember that the most recent analagous situation resulted in four months of bloodletting that cost the nation about 1% of its population. Extrapolated using the figures of our own population [now around 305,048,559, plus some 20 million uninvited illegal foreigners resident here] the toll wopuld be brutal, indeed- and that if we *only* suffered a four-month-long reprise, which seems unlikely. The U.S. War for Southern Independence of the IXX Century cost us about 2% of our male population over the period of 1861-1865, but again, there's no reason to think that a sequel would be primarily limited to male participants.

That might be forestalled if there is a forthcoming elimination of traitors and Fifth Columnists within or population, whether by attrition or a mass migration following the demise of a few of their leading fellows. But if that does not occur, or if it is not enough of a safety valve to allow the release of enough of the building pressure, look for that *1-2% of the population* figure to come pretty close to the numbers of what follows.

But we have been told by our enemies of what they hope is to come:

We have Nicaragua, soon we will have El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Mexico. One day, tomorrow or five years or fifteen years from now, we're going to take 5 to 10 million Mexicans and they are going into Dallas, into El Paso, into Houston, into New Mexico, into San Diego, and each one will have embedded in his mind the idea of killing ten Americans."

--Thomas Borge, Nicaragua Interior Minister, as quoted in the Washington Times, March 27, 1985

I am sorry, but the most infuriating thing to me about all this is that the MSM and the bloggers can get away with this Who is going to stand up to them? What can be done? Does the average apathetic American even care enough about it? I hope so but I fear not.

Well, let’s see how it plays out. The blowback (or, backlash, as they used to call it) could be catastrophic for the Left. Even though what they are doing to Palin is no different than what they’ve done to Bush, Cheney, DeLay, Rice, Bork, Clarence Thomas, etc., they are now doing it to a woman in the immediate aftermath of losing all those Big Blue State primaries to Hillary. That’s a lot of disaffected voters to risk alienating. The Left might be creating the Palin Democrats for us.

You don’t know anything about these people. Nothing. You need to get back to DK or DU or to the Ron Paul stroke-fest.
