I dont really care or get concerned about stuff running in the tabloids. They live for scandal, it’s their bread and butter.
I think most people who read them are reading them to be titilated, and they know they’re getting the exaggerated version.
Also, I think a big part of the success of tabloids is that they take the piss out of celebrities, printing pictures of them without make-up and airing all the dirty laundry.
So ... dont sweat the Tabs.
“I believe the National Enquirer was the fist to run with the Edwards Love Child Story.”
But MANY people in the media knew about it long before that and decided to not report it.
All I know is that when this happened to Britney's sister, we seemed to have a different reaction to it. Were we right then? Perhaps not. Are we right now? Again, perhaps not.
Don’t understand this Internal polling, will study it.
Got my Hopes, but it ain’t over yet.
I know, I figured as much. I was really just bumping the thread so others could see.
I will be out of the office on Friday, August 29th thru Tuesday, September 2nd. with limited access to email/voicemal. For immediate assistance, please contact Adele Connolly at 212-484-3491 or Adele.Connolly@usmagazine.com or my Ad Director, Jon Tuck at 212-484-3490 or Jon.Tuck@usmagazine.com. Thanks and have a great weekend!
And many people in the MSM knew about the Bristol Palin Pregnancy and decided not to report it until AFTER the Palin Family issued a press release.
That might just be the only silver lining in this dark cloud. However, Barry took the opportunity to act 'noble' while fully aware that his minions are digging up every possible speck of dirt.
Yes there was.
and if a 28 year old unmarried Chelsa Clinton turned up pregnant I am sure the reaction would be quite different.
Now, I cannot imagine what the reaction would have been at FR if a 16 or 17 year old Chelsea Clinton had become pregnant.
What?
The Mags, if the supermarket doesn’t carry this trash, then they will melt.
First off, I would like to see people stop buying them, stick stickers on there that says you are a sexist if you read this magazine.
People are gonna talk about this. In fact, they should talk about on TV, eventually people will get tired of it. Instead, its reduced to a rumor, and I keep hearing everyone asking about it - who’s the father, how old was the father when it happened, are they engaged, etc. People are talking about it online, in the real world; if it has to do with sex, people are going to talk about it ad nauseum. That’s just the way it is.
I’m not buying that rag to get it off the shelves but I might “accidentally” spill something wet and messy on the stack while waiting in line.
That sounds right but haven't seen too many "stories" on Obama though.
I have never had one of those publications in my house but I would not advocate vandalism as you appear to be doing.
Now, I know that some on here would have done things just as bad as what the Dems are doing now, but I'd like to think that most would have taken the high road and let it be a family matter. Clinton or no, it's still someone's 17 year-old daughter. GWB's daughters got caught partying/drinking in college, didn't they? Some moonbats got up in arms about it, but most people just shrugged it off.
Palin is the only thing on the news.
Whoopeee!!!!!
No Barack, none of the time.
As long as the Dems keep the media focused on our woman, all the better.
Keep it up, boys! The more you boys attack the girl, the worse you look.
Lets say, instead, like millions ofworking-class Americans, you get your news on the political race from the supermarket aisle.
It's for sure most "hockey moms" won't be running into Rick Klein or any of his peers over in the personal lubricant section.
If an Obama daughter were pregnant, I promise you that the tabloids would be running with the story.
