But MANY people in the media knew about it long before that and decided to not report it.

And many people in the MSM knew about the Bristol Palin Pregnancy and decided not to report it until AFTER the Palin Family issued a press release.

“And many people in the MSM knew about the Bristol Palin Pregnancy and decided not to report it until AFTER the Palin Family issued a press release.”

(1) Sorry, that “news” was not very commonly know in media circles outside of Alaska, and even then it is pretty recent “news”; and (2) until she became a “national figure” it was no widely considered a “national” story. Whereas, the Edwards affair was known in Washington D.C. media-social circles for months; including during most of his Presidential primary campaign - and they all said nothing, by choice. (3) There is a big difference in how “the media” has treated the two stories as well as a difference IN the two stories - one concerns the judgement of the candidate directly (Edwards) and one concerns a member of the candidate’s family, not the candidate (Palin).
