I’m not a McCain fan(even though I’m supporting him this election), but McCain would have to be spine-less to dump Palin from the ticket. And he’s not that.

what Lieberman will do in Washington

Oh, Wolfie, oh Cafferty ... I believe that gentleman holds Harry Reid's majorityship in his hands. And Joe isn't up for re-election this time around. He doesn't even need to change parties, simply declare that he is caucusing with the Republicans. I wouldn't do much to torque him off right now. It would be a stunning way to finish out the year.

the negative buzz growing. . . .

They're hoping if they say it enough, it will come true.

I hope all the suckers that put money into that bid lose every red cent, Euro or Yen.

If Palin leaves the ticket it’s not because McCain dumped her although it could be that he’d convince her he made a mistake; then the rest of America would know what a mistake it would be to vote for him - on the other side we’d loose too if Obama got in .... on the plus side I bet Palin thought long and hard before she accepted and >knew< the MSM sharks would be coming after her and her family. It’s just pure hypocrisy that the MSM came after her and not the “born out of wed-lock Obama to an 18 year old” - everything on the Demo-rats side is off limits.

I wish I knew how to spit I’m so angry ....

/rant off/

Peace Everyone,
Janey

Dems have lost their grip on reality.

The Palin coverage is suffocating Obama, of course since he's currently doing a Clooney fundraiser overseas it doesn't bother him much for now.

The media is in full panic mode. She WILL help McCain beat the choosen one and they hate that and have to slime her anyway that they can. Guess they want to make sure those low TV ratings drop even lower?

Our local ninny on the morning drive in Philly is parroting the same tripe. He hits all the Dem talking points while posing as a moderate Republican.

Cripes these people are annoying

Sounds like a great way to make easy money.

Because it's actually people putting their money on the line, instead of reporters with an agenda of commentators pushing their propaganda, these markets tend to be incredibly accurate at prediction.

Early last Friday morning (I work nights) I came across hints of Sarahcudda being locked in as VP. First place I went was Intrade to see what the market said, because even if it wasn't true there would still be money in riding a contract from say 5% to 25 or 50%. However, the market had already reacted and her contracts had spiked from nothing to near-certainty.

Of course, like any market there's going to be overextension, so that 19% was probably a spike the instant the pregnancy rumor broke, and would've been a great short until things settled back below 10%. I can't see any justification in more than a few % chance (in the event something terrible and unexpected comes to light), so there's probably good money to be made waiting for whatever BS the left fabricates to spike the contracts and then settle back down.

"Breaking! Bristol's child is SECOND!" -->
"She's been pregnant before?" -->
"Secret abortion suspected!" -->
"Rumors swirl about THIRD child!" -->
"Possible abortions at 13 and 15?"
(contracts --> 60%)
"Palin family: Rumors are false. We are pleased to announce Bristol is blessed with TRIPLETS"
(contracts --> 3%)

Projection.

Obama is the incredible shrinking candidate.

Keep banging away at his astonishing lack of experience.

His only accomplishment is talking about himself, endlessly. He has never made a payroll, never made a command decision. Despite his presence on the “foreign policy committee” he in fact has no foreign policy experience, which isn’t a surprise when you consider that he has no experience at all. He is the original Peter Pan, the forever college intern.

He never stays in a job long enough to accomplish anything, he is always moving on. He’s the guy you hire who never shows up for work because he’s already interviewing for another job next door.

He’s the guy with so much potential that he never gets around to doing anything. He’s the genius who solves the world over hors d’oeurves but doesn’t actually know how anything works.

Romney supporters have continued their attacks on Gov. Palin.

"Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may be putting on a brave face
for the cameras after losing out to Gov. Sarah Palin for the veepship,
but his ever-loyal cadre of aides and consultants and conservative media types
continue to work for him. Almost every critical remark made about Palin
on a recent briefing call about her selection came from political consultants
with ties to Romney. Those comments were planted, says one,
because they knew that reporters would be on the call."

This overreaction is ridiculous. There are setting the expectations for Palin so low that if she does an even decent job at her acceptance speech she will be golden.

Also they are going to make the VP debates the most watched in a generation and Palin is no Quayle.

Intrade is a joke. All it does is reflect the buzz from all other media outlets. It is a consolidation, nothing more. After all, why would betting people have any additional inside knowledge of this possibility as compared with anyone else?

Michael Savage on the radio today is saying McCain needs to dump Palin and take Romney or he’ll lose the election.
