Palin's Responses On Radio Talk Show Very Unbecoming
Anchorage Daily News ^ | Dan Fagan

Posted on 09/02/2008 10:37:47 AM PDT by steve-b

The governor's appearance on KWHL's "The Bob and Mark Show" last week is plain and simple one of the most unprofessional, childish and inexcusable performances I've ever seen from a politician.

Anchorage DJ Bob Lester unleashed a vicious, mean-spirited, poisonous attack on Senate President Lyda Green last week while our governor was live on the air with him.

When we played the tape on my show the day after it happened, we received 130 calls. Even some Palinbots were disgusted.

The Daily News posted the recording on its Web site and it fired up bloggers.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner editorial writers demanded the governor apologize. The Juneau and Ketchikan papers also ran the editorial.

The Daily News opinion page addressed the governor's gaffe. They wrote "She came off looking immature herself, almost high-schoolish. It was conduct unbecoming a governor."

It was conduct unbecoming a human being, never mind a governor....

John, John, John... who did you hire to vet your VP choice? Inspector Clouseau?

He couldn't hire Clouseau. He was already committed to head up the Democrat ticket.

Why didn’t you post a barf alert on this specious garbage?

I thought that Obama claimed to have been napping during the most hate filled sermons from the good Reverend Wright. Perhaps Palin had dozed off during the radio gig.

Well, I knew I was going to regret my McCain-Palin donation. It’s quite ironic that it wasn’t because of something McKook did.

Call them and ask for it back. Send it to Biden.

Mostly I am talking about the elites in media. Only the people at DU and other like minded sites are idiots. They have one world view. My brother who is a liberal was at first very happy about it too. But once I pointed out that this pick really energized the base conservatives he is not laughing anymore.

If Obambi is the example, she still has 10 years to apologize and denounce the radio talk show host.

I basically dismissed the “ideal responses” quotes that the author inserted. For all I know, that’s part of how the media wants us to think about this. I still think Palin’s conduct was inexcusable. This behavior is generally the province of jerks like Bill Clinton.

So let’s see.

A bias newspaper publishes a bias column about a person that they hate.

Well that what I call fair and balanced.

DailyKos has continuously run stories excoriating John McCain, so you would say the GOP must have failed in their vetting process.

Right?

While it’s disappointing to learn this, I think it just shows that she used poor judgment in this case. She’s human, not a god or goddess. At least she had the decency to offer an apology.

Where along the political spectrum would you have to be to use [Palinbots] as a curse?

Somewhat to the left of Harry Reid, but also to the right of Chairman Mao?

An apparent left-wing radio show host's screed and his anti-Palin depiction.

Radicals attack the messenger. Just read Saul Alinsky's guide for them.

Actually, there is a lot more to it than that.

This story is SEVEN MONTHS OLD, this was a newspaper article in January talking about Palin's appearance on a radio show.

We HAVE NO idea in what way it was subsequently addressed. What we DO KNOW is that Governor Palin has an 80%+ approval rating in Alaska, so it is obvious that this event is OLD NEWS.

The anti-Palin attack here comes not from a newspaper (nobody back in January had any clue who the GOP nominee would be much less the running mate), it comes from a FReeper and that is ever more despicable.

Lester then describes Green's chair as big and cushy. A clear reference to the senator's weight.

IOW, the fat-cat has a drape-shape?

Sits down, and drapes over the sides of the chair?

On the liberal sites I've looked at, most of the libs ARE jumping for joy at the Palin pick.

Nonsense, the PUMAs who HATE Obama like Palin primarily because she's a woman.
