Palin's Responses On Radio Talk Show Very Unbecoming
Anchorage Daily News ^ | Dan Fagan

Posted on 09/02/2008 10:37:47 AM PDT by steve-b

The governor's appearance on KWHL's "The Bob and Mark Show" last week is plain and simple one of the most unprofessional, childish and inexcusable performances I've ever seen from a politician.

Anchorage DJ Bob Lester unleashed a vicious, mean-spirited, poisonous attack on Senate President Lyda Green last week while our governor was live on the air with him.

When we played the tape on my show the day after it happened, we received 130 calls. Even some Palinbots were disgusted.

The Daily News posted the recording on its Web site and it fired up bloggers.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner editorial writers demanded the governor apologize. The Juneau and Ketchikan papers also ran the editorial.

The Daily News opinion page addressed the governor's gaffe. They wrote "She came off looking immature herself, almost high-schoolish. It was conduct unbecoming a governor."

It was conduct unbecoming a human being, never mind a governor....

More like Alaska’s version of Nancy Pelosi, having difficulty with Hillary stealing all the “most powerful woman in Alaska” spotlight.

No it doesn’t, he wrote an OP-ED about a radio spot that 80%+ of Alaska either NO LONGER CARE ABOUT or NEVER CARED ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

The one with the grudge is a FReeper with a smear campaign.

I hardly remember steve-b being a cheerleader for Romney. At least he doesn’t seem to have spoken much FOR Romney, just against a few other people.

John, John, John... who did you hire to vet your VP choice? Inspector Clouseau?

--------------------------------------------------------------

They did an FBI background check.

Please, do tell why you are so opposed to Palin and appear to be pimping for her to be dropped from the ticket.

Is it her ideology--too conservative for you? Did you want a liberal VP like Rudy or Ridge or Joe?

Is it her Christianity?

Agreed. The posting of this article is more than petty. It's ugly.

This article is from JANUARY, Palin’s CURRENT approval rating in Alaska is OVER 80%, even the DUmmies would be smart enough to realize that this is a non-story.

That would be my guess.

“I thing the author’s use of “Palinbots” is unprofessional, childish and inexcusable, “

That’s intended to make you feel stupid if you like her.

Any attempt at a smear won't work. I haven't seen the base this fired up in years.

And the fact the Dims and MSM are spitting nails tells you this was a very good pick.

That is because Palin is by far the best candidate on a national ticket since Reagan!

Yes. One would have to be desperately grasping at straws to post this article.

just common sense, were I in her situation, the gloves would come off.
look at the stage and compare it to the dnc one, a large american flag overwhelmes all that glitter on the dnc stage, would be very surprise if in her speech they do not change the graphic to one of a soaring eagle in all its’ majesty, amber waves of grain, and an uprising John Phillip Sousa tune, we need to take America to its’ roots,
I am hungry for it, as I am sure many are.
Me I am just an Angry American resentful of how my country is being treated by those sworn to uphold it and its’ constitution.

This story certainly is “big news” on the internet. I sure hope we can’t find any times when Barack Obama inappropriately giggled at something bad said about Hillary, because apparently laughing at hurricanes that are going to kill people is fine, but chuckling along with a mean-spirited attack on a political opponent is a disqualifying act.

Of course, in truth, the fact that Obama said “Amen” to Wright’s sermons week after week should disqualify him from any American public office, but apparently sitting in a church for 20 years donating money to pay a man who hates the country and hates white people isn’t considered wrong.

You said it!

I've been excited about only three candidates in my lifetime: Goldwater, Reagan and, now, Palin.

Of course, this is the downside to picking someone who has never run a national campaign — you just don’t know what is going to surface, and what the media will make of it.

Oh wait — it’s more serious. You KNOW the media will pretend anything they find is serious. So what you needed was a candidate who already went through this once, when the media didn’t know they were supposed to attack them, so that the media was constrained from bringing back old news and saying it mattered.

SO while this story really doesn’t matter, it’s proximity to the election DOES matter. If this had been national news in January, it would have blown over already.

I think everybody should listen to the actual tape of the show, and judge what Palin’s response was.

This is all over the internet. Search Lyda Green Sarah Palin, and you will see almost all the articles are about the audio of this radio show.

Most of them prominently reference Lyda as a “cancer survivor”.

The left is really good at spamming Google. “Palin Attacks Cancer Survivor” is an excellent attack from their point of view.

That the DJ called Lyda a “cancer” just makes the “cancer survivor” work better for them. The Democrats are all about identity politics, and this republican senator in this case gets the “democrat treatment” — you can’t say anything bad about her because she survived cancer.

There’s not a single Freeper who could run for VP and not be caught out by at least five or ten ‘juvenile’ posts from the past.

This whole episode got me thinking about what could be revealed in my past. While I wasn't that scandalous, everybody has a few things in their past they'd like to change. There are few on the planet who could emerge unscathed from such intense scrutiny.
