Saul Alinsky’s son: “Obama learned his lesson well”
Canada Free Press ^ | 9/2/08 | Judi McCloud

In Artful Dodger style, Barack Obama, plays down his mentorship with Communist author Saul Alinsky. But Alinsky’s son, L. David Alinsky, credits Obama for “learning his lesson well” from the Communist guru.

Indeed, Alinsky Jr. who credits his late father for the success of last week’s Democratic National Convention, may have done something that Obama’s detractors couldn’t: blown the cover on the presidential hopeful’s communist leanings.

No one can blame Alinsky for the pretentiousness of the Ancient Greek Temple from which Obama addressed plebes, or for the tacky neon colours on display at the Pepsi Centre, but it was Alinsky who wrote Rules for Radicals, the bible of the far left.

Says Alinsky’s son L. David Alinsky of his father’s influence at the Dem Convention: “ALL the elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situation and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.”

“The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style,

ALL THE elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situations and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd's chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people...

My former Lutheran congregation was a member of one of the "faith based" groups based on Alinsky's model. It was organized in our metro area by a theologically conservative Lutheran pastor who had a long history of successful urban ministry, and was designed to do good things. But before too long, the Alinksy regional core team ran the show.

The modus operandi of the organization was for a core of "power people" to make the decisions. Then they would organize huge rallies (some of which I attended). There were speeches, usually by poor inner-city residents, who said that they were "leaders" in the organization. But they were really peons who merely belonged to member congregations.

In these rallies, there was NO time for any discussion or deliberation. We were merely called upon to ratify the decisions of the "power people", and to cheer wildly for them. Then there would be press releases in which the organization claimed that thousands of people had made the decisions. NOT! I soon became frustrated with the process and stopped going to rallies.

I got in trouble with the organization in two ways. The power people ruled that community groups, especially labor unions, could be members of the organization. I opposed that, wanting only a true faith-based organization. Of course, one of the rallies approved the "power people's" decision, and the unions were soon running things.

Then there was the move to support a fifth-columnist mosque's proposal to commemorate 9/11 by making statements opposing "hate crimes" against Muhammadans. Before I could even begin to oppose that, the big fat female union goon who was chairing our suburban group shouted me down, saying "keep that to yourself!" She said that we had to support the mosque, which was a member of our organization. When I asked why people didn't also support the Serbs when they were being bombed and demonized, I was told, "no one supports the Serbs." I said "I do". I was soon kicked out of the suburban discussion group for the Alinsky organization.

As of this past April, I was received into the Orthodox Church, so am no longer a member of any church in that Alinksy organization. No Orthodox parish will ever join that Alinsky organization, since it involves praying with muslims--especially the opening surrah of the Qu'ran that many muslims interpret as bashing both Christians and Jews. Even as a Lutheran, I NEVER said "Amin" to that prayer in a rally, but almost everyone else did!!!

Especially with the amplifying power of Facebook, texting, etc., the Alinksy model for governing is very dangerous--giving an illusion of democracy to what is really an oligarchy. That is what we face with Obama, and perhaps with others in the future.

"communist"

He might not have clothes, but he does have Big Media laying down a thick smokescreen. Many or most Obama supporters would have no idea how radical his past is judging from the lack of info about him I've observed in most regular media outlets. I'm sure the mention of Obama and Saul Alinsky would draw a blank stare from ninety-nine percent of Americans. And if Big Media has their way, they'll never know. Obama will just a "reformer" witht a lot of hope for change.

We have Obama getting mentored by a Communist, and getting strings pulled to get him into Harvard law by a big-shot investment adviser to the Saudi Royals

Sounds like they use a version of the Delphi (or Rockwell) strategy. What you described is a classic case of managed decisions.

There are ways to disrupt or even derail it, but you need a lot of people working together. Otherwise you will all be thrown out.

Had it happen to me once in a “contemporary” style Lutheran church. Hint, Rick Warren “40 Days” is a similar thing.

As some of you know, I suspect that Barack Hussein Obama is a New World Order (and muslim?) plant. His meteoric rise to power has too many all-too-neat asopects to it, including getting into the Illinois State Legislature as the result of challenges to signatures of ALL his opponents, and into the US Senate after a questionable sex scandal knocked out his strong Republican opponent.

Moroever, Obama incarnates in his very being the “one world” ideology of the globalists. His flaky Marxist mother is conveniently dead, so cannot become a campaign issue. He is a “blank slate” upon which people who want change and some hope (don’t we all?) can write whatever they are looking for.

It is well-known that Soros and the rest of the NWO hedge fund crowd has been backing Obama, McCain, and Hillary, but strongly prefers Obama.

However, I have no solid proof that Obama is some sort of plant. His rise to power might be due to dumb luck. However, your finding on the Saudi prince (and financial manipulator) connection provides a link in the chain to support my hypothesis.

The connection to Khalid al-Mansour

Mansour talked to Sutton about Obama and asked Sutton to write a recommendation to Harvard, using Sutton’s contacts. Percy Sutton wrote the letter to Harvard calling Obama a “genius”.

Dr. Al-Mansour was also responsible for the Africa investment activities of Kingdom Holdings, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal’s investment company.

My suspicion regarding the Saudi connection: I think that for a long time the Saudis have been cultivating promising young men who look like they might have a future in US politics or media. A good word here and there, some cash spread around, and they have the ability to have a great deal of influence on the US political scene

A bunch of US politicians can be bought for much less $$$ than a squadron of F-16's, and have much more utility for promoting Saudi interests

obama, was bought and paid for 20 years ago...and then the Saudi 'prince' paid off Harvard...the truth is utterly grotesque.

“However, I have no solid proof that Obama is some sort of plant.”

We all have solid proof that McCain is on the payroll of the Mohhammedan KLA whose purpose, now that they seem to be out of the Orthodox Christian body parts business, is Greater Albania. Frankly, McCain’s support for rampant, vicious and aggressive Mohammedanism in the Balkans is far greater cause for concern about the safety of Europe and by extension of the US than some suspicion that Obama is a Soros/Mohammedan plant. We know McCain sold out Christians. Apparently its OK by the Republicans to sell out Orthodox Christians. Likely it is by the Democrats too. That’s a reason to say a pox on both their houses!

Bythe way, the only Saudi prince connections I am aware of are with George Bush.

Too bad not many people that will be voting in November will hear much about this. Many do not even know who Alinsky is.

Here's something good (and scary) that I found on wikipedia...

From Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing:

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution."[2]

I urged the owner of the poster to join FR and see if he could get some help to get a reproduction of the poster onto a thread in this forum. I'll see what's happening on this front.
I would give anything to get my hands on a image of the poster! Have looked high and low and for the life of me can not find a trace. Though I have found reference to the "panel discussion"
Pam Dickler (Producing Director) has worked in Chicago as a producer, director, actor and writer for twenty years. [...] Ms. Dickler directed the world premieres of the critically acclaimed The Love Song of Saul Alinsky (which included panel discussions with such Chicago luminaries as Barack Obama and Monsignor Jack Egan),

Well, you know, Biden had his son say when he introduced him at Obama’s very well-scripted convention that he “stood up to Serbian thugs committing genocide..” If some right-wing Republican Senator said that he stood up to Arab thugs committing genocide in Darfur, how long do you think he would last in the Senate? I’d give him three weeks, tops! But Biden gets away with uttering falsehoods against the Serbs, to the applause of all who hear him.

Biden’s ustashe connections, as well as KLA, are well-known. So are McCain’s KLA connections. I will probably join many of my Serbian friends and vote for Ron Paul. Being in a very blue state, my vote—as well as the votes of all my fellow citizens here—counts for nothing, anyway. The real concern is that either McCain or Obama could get us in a war (cold or hot) with Orthodox Christian Russia.

However, Obama’s techniques (see my post on my “Alinsky” experience above), amplified by the new technologies and social networking models, look very much like a breakthough for demagoguery, analogous to Hitler’s use of radio in the 1930s and 1940s.
