I continue to monitor FR every day but I don’t post very much any more. In 2006 I was disgusted by the Limbaugh attack blaming the pages in the Foley scandal. Many posters here followed his lead and the entire campaign simply fell apart around issues of sex and morality.

I think Limbaugh is a problem. He is doing enormous damage to the Republican brand and has made life miserable for every middle of the road and moderate conservative.

If Limbaugh comes on the radio today trying to fire up the controversy, you know it is only about him and his ratings. McCains best hope is to move beyond the all the noise and try to get some positive traction out of the convention.

I do not believe Limbaugh will do anything other than hype a situation that really needs to be allowed to quiet down. This is a family matter and most people will allow it to be exactly that. But, just watch, Limbaugh will do what is good for Limbaugh. Perhaps he will bring back Michael J Fox for round 2. The man is an idiot. I wish more conservatives had the courage to tell him to shut up

Yeah, I guess you are right. But then why did X41, 43, and Jeb call Rush to congratulate him on his show yesterday?

Interesting that X41 asked Rush how “our man Ailes” is doing. Then X41 was told to temper his remarks cause he was “on the radio air”.

I like Rush. And no, I had no sympathy for 18+ year olds who supposedly were pressured into having sex with older men. Sorry, but heterosexual 18 year old males do NOT have sex with other men to get/keep a job.

The pregnancy is a semi-private matter. I say semi, because everyone knew it would become a public matter soon - even if Sarah Palin stayed in Alaska, or even if she resigned as Gov.

However, the vitriolic attacks on Palin, and the MSM sending ‘reporters’ to try to find any dirt, any where when they won’t even mention Ayers or review Obama’s history of non-accomplishment - THAT is a huge story. When you (liberals, not you personally) attack a woman by claiming she faked being pregnant, you obviously are insane - but the MSM has been eating it up!

This is the Wellstone Memorial done in a negative way, where the liberals prove that no one can escape their vomit. The USA needs to decide if people like that should be dominate in politics.

“middle of the road and moderate conservative.” = Liberal leaning Noreaster Country Club republican.

Limbaugh speaks to and serves conservatives, not “The Republican Brand.

It was the brainless heads on CNN and MSNBC who are not allowing this story to "quiet down." Last night it was Larry King and two other liberals up against one conservative - the liberals were snickering and insulting Palin and her daughter; and it was the liberals who were trying to manufacture doubt and condemnation in "the religious right."

I don't even recall which liberal news reader it was on MSNBC last night who tried to do the same thing.

Rush has been away all weekend. If he comments on this manufactured "crisis on the right", I will bet that he hits the liberals hard for their hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy for saying the kids of candidates are off limits - except when it's the kids of (R) candidates.

Hypocrisy for saying that women should be free to choose to have a child or kill it - but it's a good choice only if they choose to kill it.

Hypocrisy for saying that a woman's place is anywhere her own ambition leads her - except if she is an (R) woman.

And more, I am sure.

I hope he kicks the liberals' asses over this.

That's a good thing. Rush Limbaugh has done more for the Conservative movement in this country in the last 20 years than anybody except Ronald Reagan. What have you done?

I listen when I can, enjoy what I enjoy, disregard what I don't agree with or care for, and appreciate all the positive, heavy lifting Rush has done.

Like the person who gives lots of money to charities and then gets accused of being interested only in 'tax breaks'...Rush Limbaugh has given much to the cause of conservatives over the last 20 years. This is undisputable.

If you don't like him, fine. But idiot? Hardly.
