While the subject matter isn’t all that interesting to a non-Alaskan, it’s interesting to see her manner here. Biden will do his whining, “How could you do this/think this way” thing, and Palin will kind of look at him like he’s an insane person and will talk like a normal human being.

BUMP for later viewing.
Apparently an hour show. A three person race with a former two-term Democrat governor, a former Republican legislator running as an independent and Sarah.
I would like to know how much she won by (more than 50% in a three person race??).

Interesting that Alaska had 21 gubernatorial debates that year! This gal is certainly an experienced debater. Love that she said that she’d back a constitutional amendment banning abortion.

pro-life, unequivocal and to the point

I believe I read, somewhere here on Free Republic, (sooo many threads, so many links the past three days) that she won by either 51% or 53%. Pretty definitive for a three way race.

You can tell shes smart and does her homework on the subjects at hand, good memory, good analytical skills and shes a pleasure to listen to...nice voice. She’s not hard on the eyes either. I think Biden is in trouble.

I am trying to imagine Biden NOT appearing to be a smirking stool of arrogance and I just can’t do it. I swear, I’m really trying! The way I see it, all Palin needs to do is show up and smile. Biden is the loser before he ever even sets foot in the debate!
Go ahead - - picture the two of them standing behind podiums, and picture Biden NOT looking smug and arrogant.
Can’t do it, can you?

it’s funny that they sometimes have to answer in 10 seconds. my gosh
I agree with Palin on the subsistence amendment. It’s not a relevant issue for me but I can understand why it is not a good idea to depend on changing the constitution, if you want to get something done.

With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Palin had taken nearly 49 percent of the vote, compared with about 41 percent for Knowles. Independent candidate Andrew Halcro pulled just short of 10 percent.

I am hoping that he will also seriously underestimate her. I'm hoping that he will come off as a smug, arrogant, know-it-all Washington insider of 35 years ready to show up the Podunk governor. Better yet if the American voter sees it.
To: SubMareener
Im watching this and can’t believe that the smug Andrew Halcro got over 1%. Is he one of the authentic Alaskans bashing Palin?

His closing comment about putting Palin and Knowles at the "kid's table" at Thanksgiving revealed just what a smug, little jerk that guy is.
Sarah Palin was the ONLY adult at the table, journalists included. She answered every "trap" question with a smile and stood her ground.
21 debates is a LOT. That's probably more debates that Joe Biden has done in his entire life. He is refusing to debate his current Senate opponent.
Sarah Palin will more than hold her own against Biden.
