...do you remember Cheney going against George W??? If he ever did, he didn't do it much...

You're full of crap Roamer. Cheney's over in Georgia now, staring down Putin and his thugocracy. And you're sitting in front of your computer writing nasty things about his political record.

When you're finally booted from FR, give US Weekly a call? You belong there.

And in what way is that "going AGAINST George W. Bush"? Bush sent him there. He is there with Bush's blessing. The reason Bush got the Conservative vote in 2k was because he chose Cheney as VP. Cheney's Reaganite credentials are what made Bush palatable.

But that did not stop any of Bush's globalist tendencies. It did not stop him from signing McCain-Feigngold, nor would it have stopped him from signing McCain-Kennedy. Sarah Palin will be EXACTLY as ineffective against McCain, should he attain office...

Unless it is your supposition that she, or any other is more of a bulldog than Big Dick Cheney, which is ludicrous on it's face, yet he remains silent in the face of obviously un-conservative, unconstitutional precedents supported by his president and boss, George W. Bush.

When you're finally booted from FR, give US Weekly a call? You belong there.

When Reagan Conservatives are booted from FReeRepublic for preaching Reagan Conservatism is the day it is no longer FReeRepublic anyway, but merely another extension of the globalist RNC.

See you at the signing. /not

That’s okay Byron, I’ve been off the forum for several weeks. I tend to agree with your November 5th comment, but it is not I who have lost contact with common sense.

Bud, this man has a 26 year history in the Congress and Senate of the United States.

I happen to remember it. Vice Presidents tend to sink back into the woodwork after election day. You’ll see.

And McCain has to address ALL Americans tonight, not just Republicans!

Uhy huh. Well, Palin doesn't look like a woodwork type, to me.

I know and everyone else knows you're a pretty good level headed type of bloke. Having been around so long you must know there has always been an FR clique preaching doom and gloom about the candidate ahead of every presidential election. Instead of contributing to the campaign I'm thinking we need charity closer to home- maybe a Freeper Zoloft Fund. Lighten up my friend because without getting maudlin it's a new day in America (to paraphrase the Gipper.)

“...should the McCain-Palin ticket win the election, it will produce a huge change in the party itself. Mrs. Palin would become first in the line of succession to become the next Republican presidential nominee and would usher in a new generation of leaders.”

Bump to that! If we win this one, we could hold the White House for a very long time.

Remember my plea to po’d Freepers to vote for McCain now, and we could plan the Revolution later? Well, it just got a whole lot easier, Baby! Thanks, Senator McCain. And thank God for putting Sarah Palin in our plans as well.

Wa-Hoo! :)

McCain’s selection of the anti-abortion, socially conservative Alaska governor, after he considered naming an abortion-rights backer such as former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge or independent Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman, leaves pro-choice Republicans at odds with both the presidential ticket and the party’s platform.

The party's making the changes you want. The RINOs are in disarray and there is a true wind of change blowing through the armies of conservatism. And you're still sitting on the sideline complaining- because complaining, is habit forming. Wake up to yourself, we need you onboard.

The Republican Party has given Conservatives a beautiful songbird in a golden cage. McCain still walks the stage in his pre-speech warm-up with Lieberman on his left, and Grahmnesty on his right.

There is *nothing* that would cause me to support this scurrilous bastard, or the socialists he represents, so you may as well save your breath. I am not so stupid as to suppose that he has changed his spots, not one little bit.

His "sincere" donning of the Conservative mantle at Saddleback is neither sincere nor unexpected.

It is merely his capitulation to the bare fact that he is out of money and out of votes, and that there is no middle to play to. His "Giuliani Gambit" has failed. That is the only reason we have a Palin instead of a Pawlenty.

I've heard of GOVERNOR Sarah Palin, the "Im-Palin-er" and I really like her. She's giving me real trouble, on how to vote for her, yet vote against McCain.

I may just have to think about this for a few days.

Thanks for the idiotic psychoanalysis from afar. Hint: you (uh oh...a pronoun...I (damn, there it is again) must have a love for you (damn another pronoun)) don’t know shi’ite about me (uh oh...another pronoun).

BTW, the number of times you (oops, pronoun) used various versions of “you” (pronoun) referring to me (pronoun) is 3 times. That must reflect your love of me, eh?

SO, I (damn, there’s a pronoun) am supposed to only speak in the all mighty 3rd person or must I use the scientific “royal we” or I reap an idiotic psychoanalysis from you (damn....pronoun)?? How is one supposed to talk about who they are voting or voted for without using a pronoun referring to themself?

What’s the psych book say about those who use “.......” a lot?

I (shi’ite, another pronoun) do not vote for known known Constitutional infringers.....and not just “maybe it is maybe it isn’t” an infringement.....a BLATANT infringement.

Saying the same stupid thing about “people not being perfect” and ignorning that “perfection” is not the issue concerning my (oops pronoun) vote....unConstitutional actions are.....well, ad nauseum arguments just don’t work very well.

Hint: How about you (damn another pronoun...I (damn another pronoun) must have some irrational love for you (damn another pronoun)) stop trying to psychoanalyze strangers from afar........and most certainly stop telling me (damn...prounoun) who I (prounouns abound!!) MUST vote for, Mein (oops...pronoun) Feuhrer.
