(Video) Sarah Palin Welcomes Concept & Importance of Independent Conservative 3rd Party (Baldwin)
http://www.akip.org ^ | 2 September 2008 | Alaskan Independence Party (via Sarah Palin on YouTube)

Posted on 09/01/2008 7:13:27 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Short Streaming Video of VP Sarah Palin recently supporting an independent Third Party (conservative) in Alaska, welcoming the Party and sharing their ideas, also supporting independent parties' to challenge the two established parties.

The Party welcomed here on this video did in fact go on to have a successful convention, as Mrs. Palin urged them, and ultimately officially endorsed and affiliated with conservative CHUCK BALDWIN (on the national ticket for Constitution Party) for President of the United States in 2008.

A governor taping a video welcome to a convention? I don’t know about Tokyo, but in California that’s probably a weekly event.

See, you are leaving more things out again conveniently.

She not only welcomed the conservative Alaskan Independence Party, she said she shared their principle, and said that she welcomes competition in politics, i.e. Conservative Third Parties as the A.I.P., i.e. outside of the framework of just the Dems and GOP, finally, she clearly offered encouragement and success. Don't leave things out. Is this how you debate? You are being a bit dishonest with your concerted effort to point out some things that are convenient and then ignore other things. Do you want her words exactly. Well here they are. They are not just a Governor generically welcoming the Rotary Club to town as they do one convention after another. As a former party member of that political party in the 1990s, there is more to it, in terms of her encouragement and support:

(BEGIN TEXT)

"I’m Governor Sarah Palin and I am delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaskan Independence Party Convention in the golden heart city of Fairbanks. Your party plays an important role in our state’s politics. I’ve always said that competition is so good, and that applies to political parties as well. I share your party’s vision of upholding the constitution of our great state. My administration remains focused on reining in government growth so individual liberty and opportunity can expand. I know you agree with that. We have a great promise to be a self-sufficient state, made up of the hardest-working, most grateful Americans in our nation. So as your convention gets underway I hope that you all are inspired by remembering that all those years ago, it was in this same city that Alaska’s constitution was born. And it was founded on hope and trust and liberty and opportunity. I carry that message of opportunity forward in my administration, as we continue to move our state ahead and create positive change. So I say good luck on a successful and inspiring convention. Keep up the good work, and God bless you."

(END TEXT)

“Could have lived with a Palin-Hunter or Hunter-Palin ticket.”
That would be an awesome ticket!
Maybe in 2012?

we will be overrun by voting, (former) illegal aliens by then (2012)—based on either Democrat or Republican Administration and Congressional actions, and thereby severely outnumbered, but heck, it’s worth a try. might as well go down fighting. might get upwards of 25% of the vote, maybe, if we pull out all the stops

If your going down, fighting is the only way to go.

Make em’ pay dearly for ever inch they get.

She not only welcomed the conservative Alaskan Independence Party, she said she shared their principle

No she didn't.

and said that she welcomes competition in politics.

Her statement was: "I’ve always said that competition is so good, and that applies to political parties as well."

i.e. Conservative Third Parties as the A.I.P., i.e. outside of the framework of just the Dems and GOP,

That's YOUR SUGGESTION not supported by her statement. There's nothing wrong with sending a cordial greeting to a bunch of conventioners!

Furthermore, she distinguished her administration from the AIP by saying, I share your party’s vision of upholding the constitution of our great state. My administration remains focused on reining in government growth so individual liberty and opportunity can expand. I know you agree with that.

finally, she clearly offered encouragement and success. The AIP was once a potent political party in Alaska. Why shouldn't she be cordial?

This is nothing more than a mean and small-minded attempt to harm a person of goodwill.

Oh, and by-the-way, Palin was an official of the campaign of Steve Forbes --not Pat Buchanan.

I admire you, you fight even though the odds and facts are against you and I do admire that grit at the very least.

PS there is an early Christmas gift for you as we speak, starting right now on another thread I started about Palin about three minutes ago. Go check it out. Keep up the fight, OK?

Shall we also post what the Chairman of the AIP in Alaska said to her in return—including recognition of her past work with that Third Party? That is also out there for the record. But, I warn you, you wont like it.

Outstanding.......
My respect for her grows daily. As one FReeper put it McCain may have started a revolution and not know it.

The DC status quo Republicans cannot be happy with her anymore than their pals the RATS.
