Mort Kondracke is every inch a lowlife
No, Mort’s just hopelessly WRONG when it come to most things, especially figuring out how Conservatives and probably most Americans think.
When he says that this is an example of the wrongness of teaching “abstinence only sex education” I wish Kristol or Barnes had said something like “maybe the blame is on the unionized teacher who was teaching abstinence only. They usually fail at everything else!”
BOR said pinhead didn’t even cover it, re: God is a Dem for sending Gustav to NO for the first day of the GOP convention.
Gustav did not turn out as badly as the Dems and the MSM fervently hoped. The disappointment was palpable in their reports.
The Republican governors of AL,MS,LA, and TX performed marvelously. FEMA did great, as did state, local, and military units.
And the GOP handled the opening of the convention in a great way.

Well, I’ve heard that refrain from Mort coming from others so it is like they all got an email of talking points on this. I don’t like it either. To be honest though, Mort sometimes says some stupid stuff but in general I don’t find him that far left... just an observation.
But I think the left/democrats are going to really dig themselves a hole over Sarah. I’m hoping that she holds her own in the comming months and continues to hand them shovels... until she is the president in 2012...

Mort said Alaska submitted for Abstinence only funds. Kristol snarked that contraception musn’t be available then. Mort said it was but wasn’t encouraged. Brit asked Mort if he thought then that is why she got pregnant. Then Mort decided he didn’t want to play that game anymore.

I don't know about that. This story exploded today and Britt was just covering it. Look at some of the threads here about it.
I know. There was a CSM article soon after that was on live about Alaska having a really fine impact on preventing unwanted pregnancies, but it was from 2006. I went to the Alaska webpage to see what the position was and I saw a lot of info about all forms of contraception.

Mort Kondrake seems a fairly decent guy, and friends who know him personally tell me that this is true. But, he is the perfect example of the clueless inside-the-beltway elitist. His beat his Capitol Hill where he agrees with the other reptiles in this swamp that government is the solution to all problems. He lives in Chevy Chase, the quintessential left wing looney neighborhood where undesirables and low wage earners are never seen. And, worst of all, he thinks that anyone outside his circle is an incompetent boob.
Sarah Palin is everything that the Mort Kondracke crowd fears: someone who understands the real issues facing real Americans and ready to attack the corrupt cesspool of political parasites who infest the world that Mort finds so wonderful.
Whether Abstinence Only Education works or not is not decided by the success or failure of it in one single case.
why? Why would anyone want to stoop to the level that mort stooped to today? Not me.
