Anti-War Protesters Attack Conn. GOP Delegates Some Delegates Doused With Bleach-Like Substance; Rowdy Crowd Estimated At Between 2,000-10,000 ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) ― Protesters attacked Connecticut delegates near the site of the Republican National Convention Monday in a demonstration where more than a dozen people were arrested by police using pepper spray amid window-smashing, bottle-throwing and tire-slashing.
It was a violent counterpoint to an otherwise peaceful anti-war march not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site.
Many protesters involved in the more violent protest were clad in black and identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place.

I found the estimated 6000 protest marchers to be boring and not very original in their chants. The Code Pink contingent was there, including their national leader.
“Pepper spray is nice, but itching powder would leave them rolling on the ground in agony for the entire rest of the day. And zero actual damage, so their whining about “brutality” would be completely irrelevant.”
I prefer brutality for such thugs. Give them what they dish out, but in spades. And they should be glad it’s not delivered by AC-130.

Scaring and possibly injuring innocent people is just wrong. These thugs will continue to do their frightening tactics until someone in authority stops it immediately with tremendous force. We stopped the thugs in Iraq, we should stop the thugs here.
Actually the 2000 police officers there had things quite under control. The media really tried their best to blow what little happened out of proportion. The police did a great job I was watching them from my 3rd story cubicle while I was working today.
The skum that calls themselves peaceful should be shot at dawn.
A lot of them have already shaved their heads.
I say ship them off to Maricopa County, Arizona, and let Sheriff Joe outfit them in pink and feed them bologna sandwiches in tents. Temps are in the low 100s in September there, usually.

Interesting the difference between the Democratic convention and the Republican convention.
It appears that Obama is using his thugs to disrupt democracy.
Obama has his bloggers, supporters and thugs doing his dirty work for him.
This is exactly how he won the Illinois senate position by intimidating credible candidates. This is also why Bill Clinton called him a “Chicago thug.”
Is this who the American people want as their President?
Someone who will get the people rioting in the street to satisfy his self serving “Messiah” image. It is shameful and very much like the behavior that is seen in Kenya to elect their leaders...
This kind of behavior is going to come back and haunt Obama on election day..

The group providing the St Paul/Minneapolis feed has had to shut it down for now, they're working on some arrangements to get it online again.

Well, maybe he should have sent his police to Denver for training. It sure looked like the Denver cops cut these nut cases off at the knees every time they tried something. If I were Minn/St. Paul residents I would be embarassed.
