The Dems are once again demonstrating their foolishness. They’d be better off marginalizing Palin’s impact and trying to bring the focus back to McCain. If they try to make this a referendum on Sarah Palin they’re going to get crushed.
The Palin’s are a family just like those in most of America. I am certain that many other families in this country have had to face the situation of a young daughter being pregnant and unmarried. I feel sorry for them and especially their daughter that these private family matters have to be so publicly aired by the media. The Palin’s are handling this situation well and with great love for their daughter and that should be very evident to most of America.
Remember that all of the candidates have children who can be drawn into the mudslinging. I'm sure that the other candidates don;t want to see this get out of hand.
Also, many voters may tire of the personal attacks on family members and vote for the party that takes the high ground.
Best wishes for the Palin family, particularly Bristol Palin and her child.

Can somebody help me follow the reasoning that somehow this winds up showing hypocrisy?
Teens aren’t always in control of their hormones—everyone who’s been a teenager knows this.
The teen’s adults tell them it’s better to wait, but we all know that sometimes hormones speak louder, and the teen indulges his/her urges rather than doing what their parents wish them to do.
Teen then talks to parents. Teen deals responsibly with the situation, with support of parents, by marriage and bringing the baby to term.
Not the ideal way to start a family, but lots of ‘em start that way. It happens. Even to some Democratic Presidential candidates we know.
I have trouble seeing the hypocrisy here, except from those screaming “Hypocrisy!!!”
At least her daughter can rest easy with the knowledge that her father isn’t Barack Hussein Obama who thinks his daughters having a baby at a young age would be ‘saddled’ with a baby - nuisance.
I can’t find anything but there’s news on the cable channels
that Palin has hired an attorney for Troopergate. Anyone
has news about this?
Democrats are the originators of the slime machine. If you read Saul Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals”, you’ll see where today’s democrats got their methodology.
Pick an innocent person as your target. Never let up. Keep it up until your target falls.
Liberalism is a progressive weakening of the ability to think clearly.
What is it about becoming a Democrat that causes them to lose their humanity? Or are they just born that way?
It closes the door to the rumors about 17-year-old Bristol.
But what do you want to bet the savages go after Willow (13, I believe) next? I mean, Sarah obviously said it was her kid so the left would think it’s Bristol’s and not find out it’s Willow’s.
And when they’re done with that, there’s always the 6 year old. Of course, the bright side of dragging Sarah’s family through the mud is that if there’s anyone who can handle it gracefully it’s her...if they really are stupid enough to start the rumor mill again after being so wrong on this one, I think any decent-minded individual is going to be pretty disgusted.
This isn’t like trashing Bush or digging up Clinton skeletons or slimy Obama connections...they’re attacking a woman who’s yet to show the slightest bit of underhandedness and a family that fits the definition of all-American.
I give Sarah Palin credit - she's taking care of her own, which is a heck of allot more than Barak (enjoy you hut bro) Obama can say.

That’s all we want to know, folks!
.But starting with the "Sarah was covering up for her daughter" and now by attacking the candidate through her teenager, the liberals have decided to reload and shoot themselves in the other foot.
I have seen several liberal women on TV in the last week who are obviously empathetic to Sarah Palin, if not prepared to publicly endorse her. How many nudges does it take to create a new round of Reagan Democrats, who will be known as Palin Democrats?
Apparently Barack Obama is convinced that he is invincible. After all, he was able to deflect every attempt by the Clinton campaign into a race card, so he may think that he can't be seen as sexist with this series of attacks on Sarah Palin.
And of course an abortion is much easier to cover up than a live birth. And people are generally PROUD of their children, while those who would consider them a “punishment” would probably not publicize their abortions.
If anyone ever compares Palin’s daughter to, say, Chelsea Clinton, and says at least the Clinton kid never had an unplanned pregnancy, the logical response would be . . . how do we know?
Either the children - even minor children - of candidates are off limits or they are not.
I still think this is a one-day story.
I just hope the Palins consulted with their daughter and she was OK with the national publicity she would get.
Well, it has been 72 hours and I have YET to read an article or hear a news clip where Obama/Biden have made ANY COMMENT AT ALL about any position that Sarah Palin holds on the issues.
They have been silent, and the MSM is doing the muckraking and character assassination.
The Democrats do not debate the issues, they concentrate on destroying the meesenger.
