Shock, yes.
Surprise, yes.
Disappointed, momentarily.

Outrage, you know what...no. Why? Because that “outrage” doesn't belong to me, it is not mine to have or express. That feeling, if it exists belonged to those who are involved. And then they forgave such that they could take up the very Christian values we talk about to girls who get pregnant. That there is love, hope, support and to not have an abortion.

If one stays stuck on outrage in these situations it doesn't help the girl and most likely pushes them towards the abortion decision.

This is not about stopping girls from being pushed to abortion by being shamed. This about people being able to feel righteous in what they say and to feel dogmatically purer than others because that is the most important thing.
