Yup. The Palins don’t consider a baby to be “punishment,” but rather a gift from God.
If this is true, and I hope not, it really doesn’t affect the way I feel about her. She is doing the right thing by standing with her daughter and encouraging her to marry the father.
This is a real world dilemma that most libs would avoid by abortion.
Ok. Not good, but she is having the baby, not killing it to save face, and marrying the father. She is doing the right thing when confronted with the consequences of her actions.
Consider how Obama put it, " "I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."

The “ Palin’s baby is really her daughters” is a crock from the word go. If I were Paln, I would not address it at all.
The daughter being pregnant is just sad for the daughter. You NEvER want to be in that situation, no matter how it came about.

Not just political families. I’d venture a guess that few families in the USA have not had a kid or relative whose pregnancy preceded their walk down the aisle. Unfortunately, as many families’ kids or relatives have also probably had abortions.

Did you read the article? McCain new about it. The fact that a daughter gets pregnant (it happens), does not take anything away from Sarah Palin's accomplishments nor that she is a fantastic VP pick. There is not a person on this planet who does not have some sort of skeletons in their closet and I'm sure that McCain weighed the impact of this in his decision. Besides, kids are off limits in campaigns - remember, the liberals told us so!

Her son joined the military to fight terrorism and do his part to serve his country. He is deploying to Iraq on 9/11/08. Grow up.
