Who cares? It will matter what she chooses to do. I think this used to be much more prevalent than it is today. Today people can pretend it doesn’t happen with a paid-in-cash abortion and then they don’t have to talk about it at the country club.

You are so right. I had three girlfriends who spent time elsewhere so the baby could be born out of sight and put up for adoption. I can't count the number of abortions I know about.

Excuse me—The daughters of conservatives don’t get pregnant? What planet are you from? It is a reality that has been happening for longer than I have been alive. I know my children made mistakes, as hard as I tried I did not raise perfect children. We did feel a responsibility to support our children through their mistakes, did not think it was the taxpayers or anyone else’s responsibility to take care of them. I haven’t heard anyone say this is a good thing that her daughter is pregnant- I have heard praises that she is not getting or didn’t get an abortion- I thought this is what being a conservative is all about. I don’t see how this changes anything about VP candidate Palin.

My wife is 19 and pregnant with twin girls. This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. A baby is not a cloud. Sarahs daughter should NOT be a political issue. Never.

I truly love this family. They are a real American family with love and respect for each other. Not afraid to welcome another human being to their table, regardless of the circumstances. This is a Christian family, the type that speaks to the best of what we are about.

I thought John McCain had made a shrewd choice of a running mate..a selection that electrified the conservative movement. Now I see it was more than that. I congratulate John McCain for a courageous choice. I am impressed.

Sarah and her hubby are proud of their soon-to-be grandkid, as was I when my young daughter got pregnant and eventually married the father. (they now have three beautiful, happy kids).

Well, this might please pro-life social conservatives, but I expect many Evangelicals won’t be voting for McCain.

I completely disagree. I doubt you would be able to find any Evangelical who doesn't know a family that has gone through this. Let's not forget that one of the best known Evangelicals in America impregnated his wife prior to marriage.
