ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Why is it a scandal? Obama is a walking scandal on so many levels, let the left dare to go there and we will show them hell.

I felt sad and let down reading the headline. The libs will have a field day with this, of course. But knowing she is choosing to have her baby is a good thing. Kids can just be so stupid.

I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware that Bristol Palin was the VP pick...isn’t she 18 years too young to serve as VP?

She probably has more experience than Barack Hussein Obama.

They can push it all they want. If they politicize this pregnancy, it will come back to haunt them.

No, it’s not nonsense. IF TRUE, it’s going to be used endlessly to bash socons as hypocrites,”

They can and will bash the Palins all they want. Bristol made a mistake but Sarah is doing the honorable and only right thing by encouraging her daughter to marry the dad just as she did the right thing when she was told Trig had Downs. She is living her faith and doing the right thing in God’s eyes and in the eyes of most in America.

They’re going to bash the Palins on things that have no basis in fact as we’ve already seen with the Bristol being the mom of Trig lunacy. If the dims get too nasty with this it will absolutely blow up in their face as they’ve already alienated many Hillary supporters.

My adorable grandson was conceived before his mother married his father.

So was my adorable great nephew. But guess what, my nephew took responsibility, married his mother before he was born and is a wonderful father. They now have an adorable little girl too.

I guess Obama's father could have learned something from my nephew.

This is not good given the stupidity and/or the exagerrated/hypocritical morality of countless voters.....and the ravening media.

So should McCain abruptly dump Palin and choose Lieberman?

Maybe McCain should just quit the race because his VP pick's daughter is pregnant.

We are electing politcal leaders here, not spotless and sinless families.

The liberals would love for conservatives to turn against Palin. Don't buy into that.

Conservatives will show love to those who do the right thing when faced with difficult life choices.

The McCain campaign KNEW about the pregnancy.....

I doubt it. The timing on the announcement is not really good. The appropriate time to announce it would have been in Alaska prior to the choice, or as part of the press release for the choice. It would have been much less of a circus.

That joker is right.

I expect Obama will be sending Bristol a sympathy card...”Sorry you were punished...if you change your mind here’s the phone number for Planned Parenthood of Alaska.”

"Good Lord, the self-righteous are out in force today! "

They do not live in the real world where families deal with real problems. The Palins are handling this with love, dignity, class and showing they live out their convictions.

The critics are showing their incredible lack of character.

My son attended his mommy and daddy’s wedding. Sometimes stuff happens and you got to have faith things will work out for the best.

This makes Palin even more real and down to earth than the phony ticket on the left.

Given Sarah’s own eloping with Todd timing, it may be that she in fact passed down the same values.

Except for the FACT that they just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversay last Friday and their eldest son in 18.

Quit passing idiotic speculation, slander, and gossip.

Yep. That’s the problem is how it was handled. If they would have leaked the issue before he actually picked the VP, it would not have become a scandal.

It’s not a Palin problem, it’s a McCain problem. He didn’t handle the situation correctly.

Almost every teenage girl I’ve ever known to get pregnant got pregnant on one form of birth control or another.

More important than giving them the false comfort of some prescription that promises to let them behave without consequences, parents should use these situations as life lessons in personal responsibility. And that seems to be exactly what the Palin’s are doing.
