THERE IS NO COMPARISON!!! Um, Ah, REALLY!!!

Experience? Just listen to any of the video clips of Sarah Palin that are floating around the internet and the way she answers questions to see who is the best prepared to lead this country.

I watched a 15 minute clip recently, there was not one um or ah. Listen to Obama on any unscripted interview and watch him stumble on his words, use a thousand ums and ahs, and never really answer the question.

Sarah is crystal clear in her responses, humorous, graceful and likeable. This University of Idaho grad makes more sense than a roomful of Ivy Leagers.

We should WELCOME the comparisons with Obama, it is no contest!!!!

I have noticed a trend among Democrats to focus on her Mayoral experience and not mention the fact she is a Governor. In fact Carville just stated that “the only Executive experience she has is the fact that she was a Mayor of a City whose town hall looked closer to a bait shop than a town hall.” This could prove to be a huge mistake for Democrats because they are trying to paint a picture of her by overlooking the fact that she is a governor, which will be seen as transparent by the electorate while at the same time slighting small towns AGAIN.

Please note that the interviewer first brought up the name of Dan Quayle. The interviewer wasn’t just asking his opinion, she was offering talking points.

IMHO, Palin would clean the floor with either Barry or Joe. (And then whip up a moose stew dinner for five kids.)

FWIW, when Dan Quayle debated Al Gore during the 1992 campaign he cleaned his clock. Even the Boston Globe admitted as much at the time, although they offered explanations and excuses. Quayle wasn’t half as bad as he was made out to be, but he will forever be remembered by that “you sir, are no JFK” retort from that pompous windbag Benson.

In case folks missed it, here is a great interview with Cindy McCain. She talks about what a great VP Sarah Palin will be. GO McCain/Palin!

The prospect of a televised vice presidential debate must fill the Democrats with dread. No matter what Biden does he will come off as old, stale and tired compared to Palin.

Trying to elevate himself to some sort of statesman versus young upstart will be political suicide. The LSM can only carry so much water for that superannuated baby boomer.

If this ever becomes a big issue, watch for the news article which will say that this is a GOOD thing.

...the hestitancy expressed in repeated umms and aahhs demonstrates a nuanced approach to difficult issues, clearly indicative of deep intelligence and insight...

Not to mention the fact that the more the dem attack dogs go after Palin the more Hillary’s voters and women in general will remember the “sexist” treatment of the New York senator during the primaries and rally around the Alaska Governor. Keep talking Carville, and I hope your good buddy Begala doesn’t stop either.

The democrats have been allowed to turn this into a debate about Palin's experience vs. Osama. She is not running for president, he is. She can get on the job training, he can't.

By the way, one shiney Canadian dime for anyone who can name Jimmy Carter's vice president without looking it up.

LIM,

They destroyed VP Quayle and they new exactly what they were doing. What they did was deny us potential Presidential timber. He was far better than we know, He said no to breaking the No New Taxes Pledge and X41 didn't listen. We also lost out on a potential kind 1st Lady, Marilyn Quayle.

Instead we ended up with X42, Stained Dresses, A smaller military, the Gorelick Wall, and 4 if not more, lost opportunities to get or "whack" Osama Bin Laden.....

I agree, policy-wise, Quayle was far preferable to either Bush. His problem was his demeanor.

All Republicans have the problem when facing the press of having to tackle a roomful of hostile smartasses alone. Reagan could do it because he really did not care what they thought, knew he couldn't win them over and didn't try. He went over their heads to the American people.

I have noted the same thing, which seems odd that you try to square your Presidential nominee against the Vice Presidential nominee. I haven't figured out what the Dems are trying to do by shaping this type of comparison. In a way, it is almost like they are conceding that McCain bests Obama and they are trying to square him off against a VP pick. I really don't know what to make of this strategy.

That idiot Walter Mondull.

I still have an original campaign button -- I was there at the time. He was a lousy governor and a worse president.
