[translated from Polish]
The assembly of a gigantic monument of Christ the King has just begun on the outskirts of Swiebodzin, Poland.
Situated on the small hill several miles east of the German-Polish border, the statue is erected not only as a fruit of faith of the local people but also as a towering symbol of welcome to Catholic Poland, perfectly seen from both A-2 Highway and S3 Fastway.
Almost 100-foot-tall statue of Christ the King will be 4 feet higher than a famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, which is overlooking Rio de Janeiro.
Designed by a priest Sylvester Zawadzki and built from private donations of the local people, the monument will be inaugurated soon.

I believe those words. But you and I have no idea what that image is. The representation that most people call "Jesus" is an amalgamation of artists depictions of Jesus and didn't become the semi-standard "Jesus" picture until hundreds of years after his death.
There's more interesting information about the history of the image here.
Now you may say "well, it doesn't matter if it's not really an accurate representation of Jesus, it's the intent that's important". Jesus said about that:
Joh 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Joh 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
Rock on Poland. Jesus rules.
Judging by the fact that Mary was chosen by no less than God and she was a descendant of David in a straight line, Jesus must have been a very handsome man with beautiful semitic features - NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
Anyway, Jesus said that the most important commandment of all is the commandment of love. If you believe and love God with all your heart, and all that you do is because of that love, do not ever worry.
However, even if you had the best theological knowledge, even if you were the wisest man in the world but you had no love, you would be dead in the eyes of God.
Be sure, Satan knows everything about God, much more than I or you do. But, despite that knowledge he will never enter the Kingdom of God.
We erect that statue because of our deepest love to Jesus. It costs a lot, it needs much effort, yet we do it because we love Jesus and such a public demonstration of our feelings is also very precious, especially now, when Islam tries to conquer Europe.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.
Ahem....
Isaiah 53
2 ...he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
It refers to the man that was:
tired - since being deprived of sleep the night before,
scared - since he felt the weight of the sins of the world to carry,
depressed - since he felt the proportions of the pain to come,
bruised - since being beaten (even tortured) by Romans,
utterly devastated - since he was betrayed and abandoned by his disciples, ridiculed by people, misunderstood and condemned by Sanhedrin, etc.
These facts put together surely could have made him look like in Isaiah 53.
