A better idea: Palin should offer to submit Trig's birth certificate for examination if Obama would submit his for examination.

Yes, it would be amusing. But it would accomplish nothing.

There's a fine line here. Palin must take command and challenge her critics, but without appearing to play any "victim card".

That's why I suggested a simple statement of fact at the news conference, with no attack on her critics. In fact, I wouldn't mention the controversy at all.

The media will fill in the gaps. But, I'd prefer they didn't. A simple Google search will tell the reader all they need to know. And the best part: it will lead the reader back to the source(s), and a lot of people will be disgusted.

The Obama campaign will be falling all over themselves to disavow any association with this smear. And they will be much more careful in the future to avoid even any appearance of a character smear.

She does not need to prove anything and neither does the campaign. It is obvious she is the one who is the mother to her baby and this is nothing but a rumor. She WAS pregnant and she DID give birth recently.

If the campaign were to address this, it would give these losers merit which they don’t have.

IMO this just makes them look bad and feeds into the sexist vibe the loony left has been showing since Hillary started running. This is not only offensive to conservative women, but every women out there (who is not an Obama supporter of course).

I say let them continue to spew their hatred so the general public can see how they really feel about women. PUMA and others are starting to see it and it isn’t pretty.

Actually it is very easy to prove. When a women is pregnant there are permanent changes to her bone structure that can be picked up by an x-ray. Prove that the daughter has never been pregnant and then call in the lawyers.

Obviously, there had to have been high school friends who spent time with Bristol Palin this past Jan - April, 2008. Her friends would have noticed if Bristol was pregnant late 2007, or Spring of this year.

It's not as if Bristol went into hiding. And the Left never mentions who the possible Dad is that was involved with Bristol last September, 2007. Bristol was probably not even dating anyone. These accusers are pathetic.

Palin should silence her critics once and for all by holding a live press conference, presenting a certified copy of Trig's birth certificate for examination by a neutral party (I'll suggest the Anchorage Daily News).
