I don't see the two as incompatible. He thinks he AP, and he's full of crap.
More to the point, though, is that even if the baby was her daughter's, why is it his business? Because she didn't force her daughter to have an abortion she's an unfit mother or governor or both? A pox on them all. (and I don't mean the Palin Family)
