Maverick made a great choice and showed he has what it takes to be President. As for the Dems concern she’s not qualified, maybe they’ll get lucky and he will live another 8 years??

Pray for W and Our Troops

This lady is good for America...something that CANNOT be said for the Marxist Maggots and others.

That is one of the things that makes her so unique, relative to Washington. Not only a breathe of “fresh air” but of real HOPE for true positive reform and a return to a Constitutional American government that cares about its job FOR THE PEOPLE. She is a catalyst for CHANGE....

Amazing how I can use those two words, HOPE and CHANGE, and relative to her they have POSITIVE MEANING....relative to The Obamination, THEY HAVE NO MEANING other than more socialism and oppression.

I don’t share the enthusiasm for Palin that many on Free Republic do. I think her choice was a weak attempt to pander to female voters with no regard as to her qualifications to assume the presidency should McCain be unable to complete his term. Frankly, I doubt whether the majority of Americans are ready to have such an inexperienced woman one heartbeat away from the presidency, especially when there are other, better choices within the Republican Party.

To me, Palin’s choice practically guarantees an Obama/Biden victory in November. The Democrats will carry (moving roughly from west to east) Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, Virginia, the District of Columbia and Florida. It’s also possible North Carolina and Louisiana will go to the democrats. On election night, if Virginia, North Carolina and Florida go early for the Democrats, you can go to bed knowing the landslide has begun.

Sarah Palin is an excellent choice and he will make a fine Vice President and in 2013, or 2017 a fine President

I have been a Gov Palin booster since way back in Feburary — But I never thought there was a snowballs chance McCain would pick her.

McCain must really want to win.

He may have chosen her to get some of the women’s vote and expecially to tear away some Harpy voters so what? I have wanted Palin for 2 mos since she is the perfect pick for the energy issue. She is being massively Misunderestimated and that is normal.

You don’t need 20 yrs in the District of Corruption to lead this Country. She is a reformer with no Corruption which is a breath of fresh air. Her Conservative credentials are by far the best candidate out there. The landslide you speak of will be on our side when this is done.

Pray for W, Palin and Our Troops

WHY AMERICAN LIBERAL WOMEN HATE SARAH PALIN:

Sarah Palin is the fear that every indoctrinated liberal woman has in the dark recesses of her mind. Sarah Palin confirms to every indoctrinated liberal woman that she has been terribly and tragically wrong.

The liberal woman and the women's movement has been wrong that to get ahead, one must limit the number of children that you have through abortion. Liberal women have been taught that abortion is empowerment for the woman. Sarah Palin has shattered that sick ideology and it frightens them.

The liberal woman and the women's movement has stressed that empowerment is selecting a weak male, a mextrosexual male who will back down at the slightest harsh tone. Sarah Palin has a husband that is big, rugged, and 100% American male. This frightens the liberal women's movement.

Sarah Palin comes from a meager background and never once asked for help. She rose all the way to governor of the largest state in the USA and she did it with little to no money. No special interests, no women's groups, no help other than her own hard work and determination. This frightens the liberal women's movement.

Sarah Palin is where she is today because she didn't listen to the women's movement. This frightens the liberal women's movement. Sarah Palin made it to where she is today because she was guided by Conservative principles and she is now the closest woman to not only become Vice President, but President of the USA. And she did it all on Conservative convictions. AND THIS IS WHY THE LIBERALS ARE HORRIBLY FRIGHTENED OF SARAH PALIN! Sarah didn't need the liberal movement -- and they know it!

You seem to be a troll with the desire to sabotage every Sarah Palin post. You only need to post your drivel once, not in every thread. At least try to say something different rather than taking the lazy way and cutting and pasting.

To me, Palin’s choice practically guarantees an Obama/Biden victory in November.

I share your concerns. Nothing wrong with Palin, but it's all about electoral math and her selection doesn't really change it. She may do nothing more than attract a larger share of the popular vote in states like New York and California, where McCain is going to lose anyway.

You have cut and pasted the same reply on 7 threads today. We get it, you don’t like Palin. Try posting something new though.

She personifies all the goodness in America which we seem to have lost. Her election will be a shot across the bow of every entrenched politician in the federal government. As a nominee, Sarah works.

A rendezvous with destiny.

I believe that Sarah Palin is the first woman that male, “I’ll never vote for a woman” voters WILL vote for. And not because she’s beautiful; because she’s tough. She stood against Murkowski. She’s not squeamish. She’s thrifty. She has integrity.

The majority of our friends are Marine and Navy Officers around and above their 20 year marks. They absolutely *love* Sarah Palin - because she genuinely respects, loves and WILL care for our military and their families. Because she wants to lessen our reliance on foreign oil. This is important to our military!

My dh grew up in Wilmington, and there is no way on earth he will vote for a ticket with Biden. No way.

Obama’s pick of Biden — a senator from a small electoral state — opened the door for the Palin pick. I think if Obama had picked a running mate from a larger state McCain would have been forced to follow suit.

I also think that the Biden pick was aimed at Pennsylvania, not Delaware. Biden is well-known in the Philadelphia area as this is the Media market that serves Wilmington, DE. Obama’s grip on the suburban Philly vote is not as strong as was Gore’s or Kerry’s. Picking Biden was designed to shore that up.

But here’s the thing — Pennsylvania is a state that doesn’t really figure in the McCain calculus. If McCain were to win PA then Obama has almost no shot. That said, it’s going to be close enough in PA that McCain can pin Obama here for much of the campaign — forcing him to waste resources.

That’s the way I see it.
