In her speech in Dayton today, Gov. Sarah Palin announced that she and her husband are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, which means they were married on August 29, 1988.
On April 20, 1989 – less than eight months after they eloped – their first son, Track, was born.
I think I can guess the real reason why they eloped, and it wasn’t to save money on an expensive wedding.

When I got ‘hitched’ back in 1963 my mother in law OPENLY accused her daughter of HAVING to get married so you can imagine her dismay when my first was born in 1965— of course being the ‘plick’ opportunist I am, complete advantage was taken with many refs to ‘longest pregnacy’ in history etc....
Lets see now, OB is a true, legit b-——d -as defined etc- or at least the product of a bigamist but that is OK.
Ms Palin on the other hand was married and had a premature birth but was MARRIED and that somehow is BAD???
One would think that a woman like Ms Palin would be the poster child for the women’s movement.
Married, 5 children, 1 not so perfect (in others eyes), married for 20 years, career outside the home, son in the military husband with employment.
The firing of her brother in law —AT LEAST IN THE DEMS EYES is nothing more than an extension of power....NOT ABUSE OF POWER.....now firing the guy that wouldn’t fire him may be a little different story but if this is all that can be dug up on her, she is definitely a good choice...

I’m all for free speech, but it should be responsible. In this case, complaints need to be going to Fox News; they need to censure him for this. Isn’t he the a-hole whose favorite word re conservatives is “mean spirited”?
I guess it could be worse. It could be a MAN attacking Palin. But it’s Alan Colmes. He’s probably just PMS-ing.
My wife’s first was closer to ten months. (Colmes is still a fool).
Why are jumping to the conclusion like Alan Commie did that she was pregnant and got married? Many babies are born early and lots of us didn’t use birth control on our wedding night.
