Stooping to Lowest Level: Democratic Claim of Palin's 'Faked Pregnancy' Gaining Steam

**Update: TV's Alan Colmes Says Palin's Neglect Caused Down's Syndrome Birth!!**

As I reported earlier, the scurrilous claim that McCain vice presidential pick Governor Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy with a Down's Syndrome child is beginning to spread among the lowest of the nutrooters. Now, the unhinged, smear site DemocraticUnderground.com has boosted this lie to their front pages. Naturally, since these hate sites feed into each other, the spurious source of the DU story is another DailyKos story like the one I earlier reported upon.

Of course, this whole meme is nothing but a lie. Are we expected to believe an entire state, its hospitals, doctors and media establishment helped cover up this pregnancy story? And they all did this for a Republican, to boot? It makes little logical sense to believe a word of this black helicopter conspiracy theory. Next thing we know, the Kossacks and DUers are going to expect us to believe that Big Foot and some gray aliens were the attendants at the birth!

But, here is the thing. This hateful story about the birth of a child with Down's Syndrome is exactly the sort of lowest, gutter ideas that float through the empty space in the voluminous heads of our friends at the lowest depths of the Democratic Party and the lefty movement. There are some sick, sick people over there and stories like this prove it....

Colmes remarks are so intolerable, I EMailed Hannity suggesting he needs a new Liberal counterpart, or a very sincere apology form the jerk Colmes.

And Hannity will do his usual "Alan, that's TERRIBLE, hee hee, what a scamp you are, wink-wink."

My guess - cross contamination with trutherism.

you can’t reason with brains so heavily damged by marijuana.
Paranoid idiots who want to believe “only they” have open minds.

Keep yapping you weirdos.
Everytime you open your mouths another Hillary voter crosses over.

Colmes is now claiming on his BLOG that Palin was pregnant prior to being married.

What a turd. Even if she was its a positive they got married right away instead of getting an abortion.

"At age 20, the odds of a Downs syndrome baby are 1 in 1,500. At age 35, they go up to 1 in 350. By age 43, the odds are 1 in 50."

There is a theory that's it's the man's sperm at fault here, not the woman's eggs. Specifically, that after 20 years of marraige, couples are having sex a lot less frequently and that fertilization can take place with an older, less viable sperm that's several days old rather than being out-raced to the egg by a fresher sperm.

The interesting confirmation here is that 40-year-old newlyweds don't have any increased incidence of Down's Syndrome babies.

I do hope there is something to this. Just like the witch-hunting days in Salem, men lay a lot of their own hangups and repression on women. I know I'm guilty of that a lot of the time.

The vileness of the wingnuts never ceases to amaze me. I think they’ve gone from drinking the special kool-aid to snorting it right out of the can.

The part that almost (almost) amuses me is, if it *were* true (and it’s not), then so frickin’ what? If you came up and told me that a mother wanted to protect her daughter from scandal and give her Down’s Syndrome grandson the same chance at life that everyone else gets, why on *Earth* should I think any less of that woman?

Let's see what "gaining steam" really means.

For weeks and weeks, there was speculation that Obama forged a COLB, but that never made it into the MSM.

Sarah Palin was named as McCain's VP yesterday, and this story is "gaining steam" and may break into the MSM at any time?

Meanwhile, the MSM sat on the John Edwards love baby story for a year?

Nothing to get upset about.. They are flailing in the wind right now.. Just point and laugh.

I wholeheartedly agree that the Democrats who criticize her are playing right into McCain's hand.

I can say one thing, Obama the Uniter and his band of Chicago Marxist thugs are doing a bang up job uniting this country. Just look at these threads.

They have chosen to become demented. Selecting a female Vice President was a little more than they could handle. McCain may have to resort to throwing some bombs of his own with his Ads pretty soon tying Obama to the insanity that his party has become.

**Update: TV's Alan Colmes Says Palin's Neglect Caused Down's Syndrome Birth!!**

And what terrible thing did Alan's mother do to cause him to be a complete and utter jacka**?

Alan is late to the game.  Cookie cutter anchor John Roberts of CNN began that line of attack.

Ah, but see, your example is a rumor from the conservative side. The Old Media will ignore anything from that side. THIS rumor is from the left. they will take this ball and run.

http://www.adn.com/626/story/382864.html

In the real world, there is no doubt whatsoever that Sarah gave birth to trig:

“Early Thursday — she thinks it was around 4 a.m. Texas time — she consulted with her doctor, family physician Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, who is based in the Valley and has delivered lots of babies, including Piper, Palin’s 7-year-old.

Palin said she felt fine but had leaked amniotic fluid and also felt some contractions that seemed different from the false labor she had been having for months.

“I said I am going to stay for the day. I have a speech I was determined to give,” Palin said. She gave the luncheon keynote address for the energy conference.

Palin kept in close contact with Baldwin-Johnson. The contractions slowed to one or two an hour, “which is not active labor,” the doctor said.

“Things were already settling down when she talked to me,” Baldwin-Johnson said. Palin did not ask for a medical OK to fly, the doctor said.

“I don’t think it was unreasonable for her to continue to travel back,” Baldwin-Johnson said.

So the Palins flew on Alaska Airlines from Dallas to Anchorage, stopping in Seattle and checking with the doctor along the way.

“I am not a glutton for pain and punishment. I would have never wanted to travel had I been fully engaged in labor,” Palin said. After four kids, the governor said, she knew what labor felt like, and she wasn’t in labor.

Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman’s water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That’s true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.

“To us, leaking and broken, we are talking the same thing. We are talking doctor-speak,” Gregg said.

Some airlines have policies against pregnant women onboard during the last four weeks of pregnancy, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists advises against flying after 36 weeks.

This was going to be Palin’s last flight anyway, her doctor said.

Alaska Airlines has no such rule and leaves the decision to the woman and her doctor, said spokeswoman Caroline Boren. Palin was very pleasant to the gate agents and flight attendants, as always, Boren said.

“The stage of her pregnancy was not apparent by observation. She did not show any signs of distress,” Boren said.

Palin never got big with this pregnancy. She said she didn’t try to hide it but didn’t feel a need to alert the airline, either.

They landed in Anchorage around 10:30 p.m. Thursday and an hour later were at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Wasilla.

Baldwin-Johnson said she had to induce labor, and the baby didn’t come until 6:30 a.m. Friday.

“It was smooth. It was relatively easy,” Palin said. “In fact it was the easiest of all,” probably because Trig was small, at 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

Palin said she wanted him born in Alaska but wouldn’t have risked anyone’s health to make that happen.

“You can’t have a fish picker from Texas,” said Todd.”

Of course Alan Colmes and his ilk stand for the view that it would have been better to abort that baby (and naturally they also think baby #5 should have been murdered as well).

Hey, Alan, is your head so far up your liberal a## that you have lost all sense of human decency? I see that the answer is YES.

Colmes cites these stories on his blog:

http://www.cadenhead.org/workbench/news/3395/sarah-palins-questionable-judgment

http://www.adn.com/626/story/382864.html

The second story referenced is pretty clear. Sarah Palin had some leak of amniotic fluid and some contractions that felt different from false labor pains when she was in Texas. However, she was NOT in labor, and given that she had four kids at the time, she knows what labor feels like.

The point these yutzes on the left seem to be missing is that there is such a thing as a false labor pain, that Palin was feeling them for months, and her doctor said it was OK to fly back to Alaska.

I swear these libs can't decide whether she should have sucked the baby's brain into a sink or if they should have sequestered Sarah Palin in a room filled with feather pillows for 9 months.

I think this is so personal it is over the top... His allies should question this privately.
