Zogby Poll: Equilibrium in the POTUS Race! [8/30/08 McCain +2%]

UTICA, New York - Republican John McCain's surprise announcement Friday of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate - some 16 hours after Democrat Barack Obama's historic speech accepting his party’s presidential nomination - has possibly stunted any Obama convention bump, the latest Zogby Interactive flash poll of the race shows.

The latest nationwide survey, begun Friday afternoon after the McCain announcement of Palin as running mate and completed mid-afternoon today, shows McCain/Palin at 47%, compared to 45% support for Obama/Biden.

In other words, the race is a dead heat.

Not to mention that 6% of Obama “supporters” are gonna vote McCain in the privacy of the voting booth...

Thanks. The only one I hear quoted is the +8. When the talking heads talk about the "bounce," they only mention the 8 points. It's pretty apparent that Obama is toast.

At this point it seems that McCain is the active candidate and Obamalamadingdong is reacting and reacting poorly. Not a situation I foresaw, I hate to admit it but I am glad to see it.

Right - None of them picks up ANYTHING from Friday's announcements, nor TODAY’s extra information -

Like she races marathons, ran a business, has been in office longer than Obama; he's a 4-time dogsled race winner, part native Alaskan, has a beard (and a dimple!) ....

Every one of the “new” facts that comes out enhances her attraction to “real” America.

That’s one nice looking “First Family.”

However...I think it would be wise to show that there is a good friendship between Cindy McCain and Sara Palin, whether there is or not. I mean, Mrs. Palin is going to be in McCain’s socks (so to speak) for the next four years, should our dreams come true come November. ;)

I would’ve put the ladies in the middle and Cindy grinning down at the baby and the men on the outside edge of the photo in a “protective” stance...though we all KNOW that NEITHER of these fine Ladies need protection from their men. (That would drive the Left even further over the edge, LOL!)

Just a thought...

From the primary season on they’ve been batting .1000. Media bias aside, he was the only candidate who stayed above the fray while everyone else was chewing up and spitting out the competition. He goes into the home stretch relatively undinged, with the best mustering by democrat foes being that he has more homes than he can count. He wins in a landslide. I think we’ll soon be seeing Barrack campaigning in democrat strongholds. I’m watching Jersey, Connecticut and New york. I don’t think he’ll win since Barrack has the coffers to cover some campaigning in those states, but he’ll be competitive and force the Messiah to give up on Va and Florida.

how more real can she possibly be, I would love to hear she can bake the best apple pie.
from the apples she picked from the tree she planted on the ground that she plowed.

Oh, how hard could baking a simple apple pie be? (After clearing the trees, plowing the ground, planting the tree, harvesting the apples, grinding the flour, ...)

Remember, Hillary baked cookies (once) during her campaign.

IMHO, the Zogby Interactive polls are worthless. These are self-selected participants so they are NOT random sampled calls.

Although we might like this result, it would be best to see the Gallup RV tracker and Rasmussen LV tracker, both are showing a lead for Obama-Biden at the moment. Still plenty of time and lots of events between now and the election.

No wonder the left is in full attack mode! BO got zero bounce and McCain hasn’t even had his convention yet and is ahead. Barring any major screw-ups I think it’s all uphill from here!
